Job description

Position Overview

Mindgrub is seeking a Product Manager to join our team. This highly visible and collaborative role will work closely with a major U.S. utility company, partnering directly with their product resources to drive the development and delivery of innovative technology solutions.

This role is a part of the leadership structure that is accountable for Mindgrub clients’ success. As such, leadership is the number one expectation of this position. The role requires emotional intelligence, the ability to earn trust and command authority. The best candidate needs to possess an owner’s mindset, and to be comfortable creating clarity and definition where uncertainty and ambiguity may exist.

Ideal candidates will bring comparable experience in managing high-impact projects for enterprise-level organizations, particularly in the utility sector, or a similar industry with Authenticated account experiences. Additionally, expertise or familiarity with AI technologies is highly desirable.

This position requires exceptional leadership skills, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and a proven track record of delivering successful products in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. If you thrive at the intersection of strategy, collaboration, and execution, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities
  • Represent the voice of the customer, advocating for user needs within the product delivery team.
  • Develop and present product strategies and ideas to stakeholders.
  • Lead delivery teams, facilitating ceremonies, writing and refining user stories, and coordinating activities.
  • Conduct workshops to define problems, generate hypotheses, promote ideation, and manage tradeoffs.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to gather and fulfill business requirements and user needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the delivery team and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain a prioritized product backlog, defining user stories, acceptance criteria, and "done" criteria.
  • Manage the product roadmap, aligning value milestones with the development team and stakeholders.
  • Set delivery goals and oversee requirements clarification, planning, and production releases.
  • Collaborate closely with the client’s internal project manager to build trust and ensure alignment.
  • Work alongside a Mindgrub Account Manager, accountable for the client relationship, and a Mindgrub Project Manager, accountable for project financials and timelines.
Requirements
  • 3 - 5 years of experience managing delivery activities for custom enterprise software products in an Agile environment.
  • Proven accountability for an enterprise software product vertical, including vision, strategy, roadmap, and performance metrics.
  • Experience leading enterprise software development teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success shipping consumer-facing features or products to market.
  • Strong expertise in software delivery methods, including Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid frameworks.
  • Skilled in facilitating design workshops, stakeholder management, and building consensus in complex or ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a track record of aligning stakeholder expectations.
  • Knowledge of heavily regulated and compliance-driven industries (e.g., government, transportation, energy, healthcare) is required.
  • Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work/training experience. Five additional years of relevant experience and a high school diploma may substitute for a degree.
  • Experience integrating AI into products is a plus.
Compensation
  • $90,000 - $110,000 USD
  • Compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including skills, education, certifications, and overall experience for this role.
