As Chief of Staff, you’ll be the right hand to one of our clients, acting as an extension of their leadership to drive business priorities forward. More than just a behind-the-scenes operator, you’ll be empowered to speak in meetings on their behalf, make strategic decisions, and ensure that key initiatives move efficiently from concept to execution. This is a role for someone who thrives in high-stakes environments, balancing strategic insight with hands-on execution to maximize impact across the organization.

This role requires exceptional business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence at all levels. You’ll ensure alignment between leadership priorities and company execution, drive cross-functional initiatives, and serve as a trusted advisor to your executive.

Accountability

Your success as a Chief of Staff will be measured by your ability to amplify your executive’s effectiveness, ensuring that the business runs smoothly while driving their strategic vision forward. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

Executive Representation & Strategic Execution

  • Act as a proxy for your executive in meetings, contributing strategic insights and making decisions in alignment with their vision.
  • Provide critical support in setting and driving company priorities, ensuring that key initiatives stay on track.
  • Liaise between the executive and internal teams, ensuring clarity of direction, alignment, and execution.
  • Draft and deliver key communications, such as executive reports, presentations, and strategic memos.
  • Summarize complex information into actionable insights, helping your executive make informed decisions.

Business Operations & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Drive operational efficiency by identifying bottlenecks, streamlining workflows, and implementing best practices.
  • Manage high-priority projects, ensuring they are executed effectively and on time.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to ensure cross-functional coordination and alignment with company goals.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.

People & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the company, acting as a bridge between leadership and teams.
  • Guide and support teams in executing on strategic objectives, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Work closely with HR, finance, and other departments on key initiatives such as organizational planning and talent strategy.
  • Manage select individuals or teams, ensuring their efforts align with the business goals.

Colleagues

Your primary stakeholder will be the Executive you support, working in tandem to extend their reach and effectiveness. You’ll also engage closely with senior leadership, department heads, and key stakeholders, ensuring that company-wide initiatives are executed seamlessly.

At Oceans, you’ll also receive guidance and support from your Operations Manager, who will help you succeed in the role and ensure that you’re continuously growing and developing in your career.

Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Language Skills: Professional fluency in English, with excellent reading, writing, and speaking abilities.
  • Experience: At least 8 years in a communication-heavy role at a reputable firm, demonstrating strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Education: An undergraduate degree is preferred, though relevant work experience is also valued. Certifications such as an MBA, CFA, CIM, CIPM, or CIMA will be considered as an added advantage

Role Specifications

This is a remote role, where you will be expected to work a split shift with some overlap with our client’s time zone. You will, however, be expected to be present for in-person training programs during your first 90 days with us.
