About the Company:

They are a team of experienced professionals who are passionate about helping our clients succeed; offering a variety of services, including website design and development, search engine optimization, and social media marketing. We value professionalism, accountability, and clear communication. Our team members are expected to meet high standards in reliability and responsiveness.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate HTML & Marketing Automation Engineer to join a dynamic and fast-paced marketing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the back-end design, development, and engineering of HTML emails, personalized URLs (PURLs), and other digital assets exclusively within our cutting-edge marketing automation platform, MindFire Studio. This is a critical, hands-on position requiring exceptional technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence.

We need someone who is highly responsive, can fix urgent issues same-day, and can jump in quickly when something breaks in MindFire, Studio, or PURLs

This role includes real-time campaign execution, where turnaround times are short, and errors are visible to clients, so attention to detail and pressure tolerance is essential.

What You'll Do
  • Master MindFire Studio: Become an absolute expert and go-to resource for all aspects of the MindFire Studio marketing automation platform, building complex campaign workflows and automations. Understand MindFire’s logic, variable syntax, data mapping, HTML limitations, and quirky behavior (e.g., with PURLs and tokens).

  • Back-End HTML Engineering: Design, develop, and rigorously test HTML emails, PURLs (front-end and back-end), and other digital marketing assets by translating design concepts into precise, functional HTML code.

  • Email and Marketing Automation Expertise: Build multi-touch campaigns in marketing automation platforms (Salesforce, Eloqua, Marketo, etc.). You will directly manage and optimize campaign flows, lead scoring, and autoresponders, ensuring successful execution at every stage.

  • Cross-Compatibility & Responsiveness: Optimize code for flawless cross-browser and cross-device compatibility, ensuring seamless user experiences. Understand the quirks of HTML for email (e.g., Outlook, dark mode, image blocking).

  • Technical QA & Troubleshooting: Develop and maintain your own robust QA and testing methodology to ensure "tight code" and perfect rendering across various operating systems and devices before deployment. Proactively troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to email deliverability, rendering, marketing automation functionality, and integrations. Debug tracking and rendering issues in emails or microsite pages. Proven ability to identify and resolve bugs or rendering issues in live email campaigns or PURL pages using browser dev tools and platform logs.

  • Coding for Personalization & Conditional Logic: Implement conditional logic and dynamic content personalization in email and landing pages based on MindFire Studio Rules engines.

  • HTML Email Constraints and Deliverability: Hands-on experience testing HTML emails across clients (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail) using Litmus or similar platforms.

  • API & Platform Integrations: Integrate data from various back-end services and databases leveraging Zapier, Supermetrics, the MindFire platform, API integrations (REST), and potentially custom code for third-party systems.

  • Email Authentication Expertise: Possess or rapidly acquire a deep understanding of email authentication protocols (DMARC, DKIM, SPF) and stay updated on evolving requirements, including handling hosted logos (DigiCert).

  • Website & Dashboard Maintenance: Provide programming support for maintaining and updating our internal WordPress website and assisting with Looker Studio dashboards, including reauthorizing tokens and resolving data breaks.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest HTML, CSS, JavaScript, email marketing best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to marketing automation and digital asset management.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO, Operations, and other internal teams, receiving work assignments and technical input. Ability to translate technical limitations into clear internal documentation and communications, and collaborate with non-technical teammates.
