Job description

Do You Have the Ideas, Drive, and Ambition to Lead Innovation?

We are looking for a Student Assistant to the Legal team in Hempel A/S. This role offers a rare opportunity to make an impact in a highly international and ambitious company while gaining experience in areas of corporate matters for our subsidiaries around the world.

Hempel’s Legal team is a global team currently consisting of 13 colleagues located in 6 countries supporting the entire Hempel Group. We are located in the head office in Lyngby together with 6 dedicated colleagues in a friendly and inclusive culture.

What will your responsibilities be?

You will be supporting our Legal team with primarily corporate matters and will be working on a wide range of tasks, such as:

  • Reviewing corporate documents to ensure that they meet our internal procedures

  • Supporting maintenance of company data for our companies around the world

  • Handling Know Your Clients requests and ownership registrations

  • Obtaining signatures on documents from internal stakeholders

  • Arranging for various types of legalisations of documents in the Copenhagen area, so a driving license will be an advantage

  • Other relevant ad hoc tasks, also depending on your academic background

Don't know if you have the right experience?

We will introduce you to all tasks above and give you the relevant training, so you will be able to complete the tasks. This means that you will not need to have experience in the above tasks. We will give you specific areas of responsibilities, assigning you ownership of particular tasks, so you will have the chance to work independently in this job.

The suggested working hours are around 15 hours per week and can be arranged to fit with your classes and exam periods.

So what do you need to succeed in this role?

We are looking for a student at bachelor’s level with the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Structured and thorough approach, paying great attention to details in your work

  • Good IT skills

  • Fluent in written and spoken English

  • Independent and willing to take individual responsibility for your tasks

Does this sound like you?

We would love to hear from you if you fit with the above and are interested in working in our Legal team. We invite law students, but also all other kinds of students to apply for this position, since no specific fields of study are required.
