The Doctors Company IT Team has an opportunity for a IT Business/Quality Assurance Analyst to join our IT team. This is a hybrid or remote opportunity, depending on the final candidate’s location from the company's office.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; Business Management, Information Technology, or Computer Science preferred
- Three (3) years insurance industry experience or work in related industry (such as healthcare, financial, or banking)
- Experience working in IT Business Analysis role
- Experience working in IT Quality Assurance role
- Five (5) years information technology experience
Responsibilities:
Analysis, Design & Execution
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document clear, concise, and testable business requirements.
- Understand, analyze, and document existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Act as a liaison between business departments and the IT department, facilitating clear communication and translating business needs into technical specifications.
- Evaluate and recommend IT solutions that align with business objectives and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with technical teams and project managers on solution design, implementation, and overall project delivery.
- Analyze business data to inform decisions, identify trends, and create reports for stakeholders and management.
- Develop and maintain detailed test plans, scenarios, cases, and scripts based on documented requirements.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and usability issues, working with developers for resolution.
- Identify candidates for test automation, document test flows, and implement using approved tools.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Quality Assurance standards and best practices.
- System Testing: Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing, to ensure system stability and performance.
Project & Task Management
- Follow department project management practices, processes, methodologies, and metrics.
- Define projects, identify expected outcomes, establish timelines, and work with the leadership team to assign project staff.
- Adhere to Project/Program Communication Strategy for IT as well as Business.
- Prepare reports detailing project status and communicate updates to Leadership and stakeholders as defined in the communication strategy.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within quality standards, and in compliance with design specifications.
- Monitor and manage progress against the plan and report results to IT Leadership.
- Oversee the execution of an IT solution in accordance with contractually established terms and conditions.
- Lead or facilitate User Acceptance Testing to ensure solutions meet business and operational requirements.
- Authorize and coordinate the migration of application changes, enhancements, and fixes between testing and production environments.
- Perform post-implementation project reviews for an assessment on project achievements, results, and customer satisfaction to build the business further.
- Track system feature/function updates as assigned, coordinate with business, developers, Project Manager, and others as appropriate.
- Estimate tasks required for business requirements or quality assurance, track progress against estimates, and report status.
- Train system users on software use and assist in training other analysts on development and analysis tools.
Delivery Excellence & Customer Service
- Ensure requirements were delivered on time per specifications.
- Project deliveries maintained a balance of scope, schedule, and cost along with a strong focus on quality and the achievement of business outcomes.
- Maximize performance while upholding and encouraging behaviors consistent with TDC’s mission & values.
- Communicate company values, beliefs, and norms to team members on an ongoing basis.
- Serve as a role model for company values.
- Communicate regularly with business partners to ensure user satisfaction.
- Aid with application problem analysis, solutions, research, evaluating business requirements, and business cases.
Team Collaboration & Mentorship
- Coach, mentor, and motivate project team and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their tasks/projects while supporting overall team to identify and achieve corporate goals, department goals and development goals.
- Communicates and delivers ongoing/timely feedback to project team regarding their performance.
- Monitor roles and responsibilities of the project team
- Contribute to continuous improvement of standards and best practices for Analyst team members.
Technical Knowledge & Professional Development
- Maintain technical knowledge and skills to efficiently and effectively support and advance the department strategic plan and goals
- Completes any training required to maintain or advance the skills set necessary to reach department and company goals
Other Duties as Assigned
- Participates in various projects to meet business objectives and provides updates to leadership on assigned projects, as necessary
Salary Range: $90,658 - $118,989
