Job description

Who We Are

Arpio is building the next generation of disaster recovery for the cloud.

Modern enterprises face a growing list of threats to their cloud applications. With the increasing complexity of cloud-native environments, we know resilience to these threats is about more than just data. That’s why, at Arpio, we have built a best in class SaaS offering that makes it easier than ever to protect your entire AWS infrastructure from catastrophic downtime.

Behind the scenes, we are a small but mighty team (YC W21) who love to tackle hard problems and learn new things. We are fired up about working together to build an innovative new product and company from the ground up.

About the Role

We're looking for a motivated Business Development Representative to join our growing team at Arpio. You'll be working directly with our Senior Manager of Demand Generation to help scale our outbound sales efforts. You'll have meaningful input on our go-to-market approach and help shape how we connect with new prospects as we continue to grow

What You'll Do
Core Responsibilities

Your goal is to generate sales pipeline by delivering quality, qualified sales opportunities to the Account Executive team.

  • Lead identification: You’ll find every lead who is a good fit for Arpio, from individuals in our own CRM who have not yet become customers, to those who have just downloaded our content or visited our conference booth, to cold leads who fit our Ideal Customer Profile but are not yet familiar with Arpio.
  • Lead outreach: You’ll reach out to the lead promptly via cold calling and other relevant communication channels to schedule a meeting for the AEs. You’ll research the prospect, develop and test messaging, set up outbound cadences, and create other engagement strategies to attract and convert inbound interest and key target accounts.
  • Lead handoff: You’ll respond, qualifying leads to determine fit and readiness, and coordinate handoff to AEs, including scheduling the first meeting.
  • Build the Playbook: You’ll work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and other teams to shape our BDR messaging and prospecting approach.
  • Be Data-Driven: Maintain accurate CRM data and leverage sales tools to optimize workflow and measure performance. You’ll measure and document what works to help the team succeed as we grow.
As a BDR, You'll Also:
  • Take initiative beyond traditional BDR responsibilities, such as assisting with content creation, organizing events, or conducting growth experiments
  • Represent our brand as the first point of contact with prospects
  • Track and optimize key metrics, including outreach volume, response rates, and meetings booked
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves:
  • Sales Ambition: Strong desire to build a client-facing career in sales, marketing, or CS
  • Prospecting Experience: 3+ years of prospecting work experience in B2B SaaS
  • Communication Excellence: Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to inform, instruct, and persuade diverse audiences
What Success Looks Like

In this role, you'll be measured on:

  • Pipeline generated and meeting quality
  • Outreach effectiveness and response rates
  • Contribution to sales playbook development
  • Cross-functional collaboration and process improvement
  • Professional development and skill growth
Salary and Benefits
  • Competitive salary and variable compensation
  • Fully employer-paid health benefits package; 75% employer-paid dental, vision and life insurance
  • $150 home office stipend or company-subsidized co-working space membership near you
