WTWH Media is seeking a Sales Training Manager to develop and lead a team of Account Managers (AM) responsible for selling business-to-business media. This position requires a Chicago-based candidate with experience in coaching and leading high-performing media sales teams. The Sales Training Manager will deliver training experiences designed to achieve measurable results. This role involves hiring, managing, and mentoring a team of AMs who interact with numerous companies and agencies across the US. Creativity, energy, and the ability to manage and support a diverse team are necessary for success.


The ideal candidate will be adept in both coaching and selling environments—capable of equipping teams with the skills needed for success.  This leader will lead a team of Account Managers focused on re-engaging clients and driving new business development. A professional presence, a successful selling track record and a collaborative approach are essential. Additionally, this role involves maintaining proficiency with our tech stack, learning management systems, and internal tools, as well as leading efforts to update sales teams as platforms and processes change.


Leadership & Team Development  

  • Hire and manage a team of Account Managers to drive business in new and existing accounts.
  • Champion a high-performance culture that balances process discipline with the energetic drive needed to hunt for sales. 
  • Accelerate onboarding and ramp-up timelines for Account Managers by leading new hire onboarding efforts, ensuring productivity and confidence.
  • Provide strategic guidance and coaching related to key opportunities and complete sales cycles.

Strategic Selling

  • Analyze team performance and ROI and continuously improve Account Management function.
  • Lead internal resource planning, forecasting, and budgeting related to live events.
  • Standardize best practices while ensuring flexibility for client needs.
  • Implement tools and processes that increase efficiency and scalability in event operations, reducing redundant efforts and bottlenecks and increasing cross-team communication and collaboration.
  • Meet or exceed pipeline generation and revenue targets set for the team.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Review and approve Account Manager pricing and proposals.
  • Report and maintain timely and thorough notes pertaining to opportunities via Salesforce CRM.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field.
  • 10+ years in media sales in B2B environment, while maintaining successful book of business.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience supporting successful selling teams.
  • Proven history of successfully driving revenue and pipeline through events, with measurable results.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate clarity, consistency and effective persuasion.
  • Strong drive to achieve results and continually improve on sales performances.
  • Proficiency in project management and sales software systems; preference using Salesforce.
  • Success with Solution Selling Methodologies and skilled in influencing requirements and sales timelines
  • Willing to travel as needed.
  • Reside in the greater Chicago area and work hybrid schedule in Loop office.
