Job Description: Jr. Recruiter

Location: Remote (Home-Based Office)
 Experience Level: 1-3 Years
 Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role:
 IEM is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Recruiter to partner with our Senior Recruiter- Field Service.  This role is ideal for someone with experience in outbound calling and a passion for supporting technical products or services. You’ll play a key role in streamlining our recruitment process, sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in screening resumes and conducting initial phone screenings for field service candidates. Engage with candidates via phone and email, asking probing questions to assess their fit for technical roles.
  • Make decisive recommendations on candidate suitability, sometimes navigating challenging decisions.
  • Learn and understand technical job requirements to effectively evaluate candidate qualifications.
  • Provide exceptional candidate experiences through clear, professional, and timely communication.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews, including arranging travel for out-of-area candidates when necessary.
  • Conduct reference checks to verify candidate qualifications and work history.
  • Process pre-employment paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with our HR Business Partner to facilitate seamless onboarding of new hires.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and manage recruitment workflows using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).

 

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1-3 years of experience in an outbound calling role, ideally supporting a technical product or service (experience with electrical products/services is a strong plus).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to ask difficult questions confidently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Comfortable making decisive, sometimes tough, decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn technical material and apply it to candidate evaluations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently and effectively in a fully remote capacity.
  • No prior recruiting experience required—we’re looking for a fresh perspective and a drive to learn!
