Apex Civil Solutions, Inc. (www.apexcs.com) is a small but growing telecommunications engineering company based in Rockwall, Texas. Founded in 2012, Apex provides drafting, permitting, traffic control plans and field work services to the telecommunications industry with a focus on ISP's (internet service providers).

Job description:

We are actively seeking one full-time AutoCAD draftsman for immediate hire to work in our office. This is *not* a work-from-home, remote position.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as a full-time AutoCAD draftsman in any field. Classroom study will not be counted towards work experience.
• Civil or telecommunications experience is a definite plus, but not required.
• Must be proficient in general computer use.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced office environment.
• Must be able to pass background check + drug & alcohol screening, annually.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  
  

If you have experience with GIS, AutoCAD coordinate systems, etc., please note this on your resume or cover letter.

Essential Functions:

• Candidates MUST be proficient in 2D AutoCAD drafting. A brief skills test will be required before a formal job offer is made.
• Civil / telecommunications drafting using the latest AutoCAD software.
• Frequent use of Google Earth, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam Revu, Internet, etc.
• Problem solving is a must. We work in a team environment, but each draftsman must be able to think on their feet, so to speak.
  
  

Position Type | Hours of Operation:

• This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week plus occasional overtime when approved.
• Office hours are M-F, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• This is *NOT* a work-from-home or remote position. Please do not apply if you are not local.
