What are we looking for:
We are seeking for a Credit Control Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the credit control department, ensuring the company’s credit policies are followed, managing customer credit limits, and maintaining healthy cash flow by minimizing overdue debt.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operations of the credit control team.
Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to reduce bad debts and improve cash flow.
Monitor customer accounts to identify outstanding debts and initiate collection efforts.
Set and review credit limits based on risk assessments.
Negotiate repayment plans with clients where necessary.
Regularly review the aged debtors report and provide updates to senior
management.
Ensure compliance with legal regulations regarding debt collection.
Maintain strong relationships with customers while enforcing payment terms.
Liaise with the sales and legal teams regarding problem accounts.
Prepare monthly and ad hoc reports on accounts receivable performance and KPIs.
Recruit, train, and develop team members in credit control procedures and customer service.
Recommend accounts for legal action or write-off when appropriate.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Reduction in aged debt.
Improvement in debtor days.
% of on-time payments.
Collection success rate.
Customer satisfaction (related to credit control processes).
Team performance metrics.
What do you bring:
A Degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
Complete professional fluency in English and French. Proficiency in Spanish is a distinct advantage.
5 years+ of experience in credit control with high volume of transaction processing in financial ERP with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
CICM qualification (desirable).
Systems experience desirable not essential BC & Salesforce.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, analytical mindset and negotiation abilities.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and organizational ability.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
