Job description

Principal Product Manager

About Us

At LexisNexis Reed Tech, our mission is to bring clarity to innovation by delivering better outcomes to the innovation community. Each and every day, the work our team does supports the development of new technologies and processes that ultimately advance humanity. Helping our customers reach their goals is our primary focus. We enable innovators to accomplish more by helping them make informed decisions, be more productive, comply with regulations and ultimately achieve superior results. Our overall success is measured by how well we deliver these results. We are proud to directly support and serve these innovators in their endeavors to better humankind.

About the Team

We’re launching a small, high-impact innovation team tasked with rapidly exploring new product ideas, technologies, and experiences. We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager who is both a top-tier engineer, who will be part of a small team of engineers and work side-by-side with a Data Scientists to drive program execution, propose new business or product strategies that reflects the customer's current and future needs and will drive commercial success.

About the Role

We’re building a nimble, entrepreneurial team to explore greenfield product opportunities. As a Principal Product Manager, you’ll partner with a technical leader and a small engineering pod to discover, validate, and launch new solutions that could become our next big bets. You’ll own the full lifecycle from ideation to MVP to early market traction — shaping product strategy, driving experiments, and delivering insights that influence our long-term roadmap. In this highly visible, hands-on role, you’ll also help champion a culture of innovation, mentor other PMs informally, and bring commercial thinking to bear on new product opportunities. The PPM will actively mentor and informally lead cross-functional team members and play a key role in interviewing and recruiting product mangers for the organization.

  •  Strong analytical mindset with hands-on experience running experiments and analyzing results.
  •  Exceptional collaboration skills with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders.
  •  Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with shifting priorities.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  •  Demonstrated ability to influence, mentor, and inspire teams.
Preferred Requirements
  •  Experience in lean startup or rapid prototyping environments.
  •  Technical fluency or prior experience working closely with engineering teams.
  •  Familiarity with product analytics tools.
  •  Prior success in greenfield product discovery and delivery.
Responsibilities
  •  Identify and validate new product opportunities through user research, data analysis, and rapid experimentation.
  •  Drive the full product lifecycle from idea to MVP to early adoption.
  •  Collaborate closely with the technical leader to scope and prioritize features based on impact, feasibility, and learning potential.
  •  Define clear hypotheses and success metrics; lead structured experiments (e.g., A/B testing, fake door tests, concierge MVPs).
  •  Craft compelling product narratives, prototypes, and presentations to communicate vision and findings to stakeholders.
  •  Use data and customer insights to iterate quickly and refine direction.
  •  Support go-to-market planning for validated concepts in collaboration with marketing and sales (when relevant).
  •  Assess market viability and propose business models and commercialization strategies.
