OCFO Financial Management Analyst – ESAG

BizFirst is assisting our client with recruiting a full-time OCFO Financial Management Analyst to support the Enterprise Space Activity Group (ESAG) initiative within the U.S. Space Force. Our client is a boutique consulting firm that specializes in delivering strategic, financial, and operational support to federal defense agencies through targeted expertise and mission-aligned execution.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will provide financial analysis and decision support to the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) within the Space Force enterprise. You will work closely with leadership to deliver actionable financial insights, support program execution tracking, and drive operational efficiency across the ESAG portfolio. Your responsibilities will span budget analysis, forecasting, performance tracking, and financial reporting—all aligned to DoD and Air Force standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive financial management and analytical support to the OCFO
  
• Assist in budget formulation, execution tracking, and performance measurement
  
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or process improvement
  
• Prepare and deliver regular financial reports, forecasts, and briefing materials to senior leadership
  
• Support data reconciliation, obligation/expenditure reviews, and operational decision-making
  
• Maintain compliance with DoD financial regulations, internal control frameworks, and fiscal policy guidance
  
• Collaborate with functional teams to ensure accurate data inputs and reporting outputs
  
• Use tools and platforms such as ADVANA, Microsoft Excel, and SharePoint to manage and present financial information
  
• Provide support during audits and assist in preparing audit documentation and findings responses
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (any field)
  
• Experience Requirements (one of the following):
  
• 10 years of financial management experience in a Working Capital Fund (WCF) environment, OR
  
• 5 years of WCF experience PLUS one of these credentials:
  
• Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
  
• Certified Defense Finance Manager (CDFM)
  
• Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM)
  
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  
• Preferred: Experience in accounting operations management
  
• Preferred: DISA FAMIS experience.
  
• Security Clearance: Secret or higher.
