Job description

Description

At Paymentology, we’re redefining what’s possible in the payments space. As the first truly global issuer-processor, we give banks and fintechs the technology and talent to launch and manage Mastercard, Visa, and UnionPay cards at scale - across more than 60 countries.

Our advanced, multi-cloud platform delivers real-time data, unmatched scalability, and the flexibility of shared or dedicated processing instances. It's this global reach and innovation that sets us apart.

We’re looking for a driven and enthusiastic Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team. This role is essential to identifying and connecting with potential clients in the fintech and banking sectors, helping to fuel our continued global expansion. You'll be at the forefront of our outreach efforts - researching, engaging, and qualifying prospects while working closely with our sales and marketing teams.

If you’re experienced in outbound sales, relationship building, and have a passion for fintech, this is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a global scale.

What you get to do:

Research & Outreach

  • Identify and research key contacts and decision-makers at fintechs, retail banks, and digital banks within your territory.
  • Use Email, LinkedIn, and Phone calls to connect with potential customers and initiate conversations.
  • Leverage HubSpot CRM and AI outreach tools to track interactions, manage outreach campaigns, and ensure seamless follow-ups.

Relationship Building

  • Establish and nurture meaningful relationships with decision-makers, laying the foundation for successful, long-term partnerships.
  • Engage with prospects through strategic, consultative approaches that address their unique needs and challenges.

Customer Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, ensuring a personalised and value-driven experience.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, helping clients understand Paymentology’s value proposition and solutions.
  • Proactively identify client needs and tailor solutions to address their specific challenges, driving engagement and fostering long-term partnerships.

Meeting Coordination

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings between prospects and Paymentology’s sales team.
  • Follow up with prospects to ensure smooth transitions and address pre-meeting queries.

Event and Trade Show Engagement

  • Represent Paymentology at industry networking events, conferences, and trade shows, such as Singapore Fintech Festival and other key regional conferences.
  • Engage with prospects and clients in person to build stronger relationships and showcase Paymentology’s expertise.
  • Support the sales team by coordinating scheduled meetings and follow-ups with leads generated during events.
  • Facilitate post-event debriefs by encouraging the sales team to share their insights, experiences, and feedback, helping to identify key takeaways and improve future event strategies.

Data Management and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach activities, engagement levels, and feedback in HubSpot.
  • Provide weekly reports on outreach progress, meeting schedules, and conversion rates to the Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Share insights from prospect interactions to refine messaging and outreach strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between outreach efforts, campaign goals, and overall business objectives.

Requirements

What it takes to succeed:

  • 1–3 years of proven experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles, ideally within fintech, payments, or SaaS.
  • Strong research and communication skills across email, phone, and in-person interactions, with the ability to craft personalised and compelling messaging.
  • Familiarity with tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, AI outreach platforms, and email automation tools.
  • Consultative selling style with the ability to build trust and credibility with prospects.
  • Organised and proactive mindset with strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Self-motivated, growth-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Mandarin or Cantonese is a must

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience working in sales development or outbound prospecting in the fintech or banking sector.
  • Regional expertise required: Knowledge of the payments, fintech, retail and digital banking landscape in APAC.

What you can look forward to:

At Paymentology, it’s not just about building great payment technology, it’s about building a company where people feel they belong and their work matters. You’ll be part of a diverse, global team that’s genuinely committed to making a positive impact through what we do. Whether you’re working across time zones or getting involved in initiatives that support local communities, you’ll find real purpose in your work – and the freedom to grow in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
