With rapid growth and a strong global presence, we are seeking a motivated Business Development Associate to join our commercial team and support our ongoing expansion.

Role Overview:

As a Business Development Associate, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Business Development team, helping to streamline processes, maintain outreach workflows, and manage CRM data. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive individual looking to gain experience in international business development within the infrastructure and energy sectors.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Management & CRM Support
    • Update, track, and maintain contact and company records in HubSpot CRM.
    • Support data cleansing, tagging, and segmentation efforts in the CRM to improve outreach effectiveness.
  • Outreach & Research Support
    • Prepare and maintain target lists of leads based on industry verticals, geographies, or deal triggers.
    • Assist with desk research on companies, projects, and contacts relevant to Gridlines’ service offering.
  • Admin & Scheduling
    • Coordinate meetings with prospects, including calendar invites and Zoom/Teams setup.
    • Track follow-ups and ensure no leads go cold through reminder flags and task lists.
  • Reporting & Analytics
    • Assist with weekly and monthly reporting on outreach status, lead pipeline, and campaign performance.
    • Generate summary dashboards from HubSpot and LinkedIn campaign tools when requested.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 0–2 years of experience in an admin, sales support, or market research role (internship experience acceptable).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage repetitive tasks accurately.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn, Excel, and ideally CRM tools (HubSpot experience is a plus).
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English.
  • Interest in infrastructure, energy, or professional services sectors.
  • Reliable, proactive, and organised with good time management skills.
  • Willingness to work UK business hours or partially overlap (at least 4 hours).
