Position: Growth & Programming Strategist, Music & YouTube

About the role:

As RHEI is looking for a Growth Strategist, YouTube and Music who lives and breathes both music and YouTube. This role is essential to scaling content curation and growth strategy across genres, moods, and audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

MULTI-GENRE PROGRAMMING STRATEGY

●      Own and optimize daily, weekly, and seasonal content calendars across 50+ music YouTube channels.

●      Curate and schedule content that aligns with audience preferences, music trends, and YouTube algorithm signals.

●      Ensure all programming is executed correctly across every channel—spot-checking uploads, thumbnails, metadata, and more.

TREND & AUDIENCE INSIGHT

●      Stay on top of every genre, subgenre, and emerging artist—from Afrobeats to metalcore to lo-fi jazz.
 
 ●      Identify mood-based and seasonal opportunities to create themed playlists or content bursts.
 

●      Use data (YouTube Analytics, Chartmetric, TikTok/social listening) to track what’s working and inform future programming.

YOUTUBE STRATEGY & GROWTH

●      Collaborate with Channel Managers to implement growth-driving initiatives like new series formats, streaming blocks, or trending track integrations.

●      Proactively ideate new YouTube channel strategies based on performance trends and gaps in the market.

●      Ensure all channels are fully optimized per the latest YouTube best practices (thumbnails, tags, titles, posting cadence).

CROSS-TEAM COLLABORATION

●      Serve as the go-to partner for Channel Managers, Creative Strategists, and Designers to ensure programming is always on-brand and on-target.

●      Help troubleshoot posting issues and ensure programming fixes are handled quickly.

Provide strategic input during ideation sessions to help shape RHEI’s long-term YouTube and content roadmap.

 

Key Requirements:

●      4+ years in content programming, digital strategy, or music editorial roles (YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, or similar platforms)

●      Deep understanding of YouTube content mechanics and growth levers

●      Proven ability to curate across a wide range of genres, moods, and audiences

●      Experience with analytics platforms (YouTube Studio, Chartmetric, ClickUp etc.)

●      Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
