Job description

Description

We are monday.com, a global software company transforming how businesses run. Our product suite can adapt to the needs of diverse industries and use cases within one powerful platform, empowering ~245,000 customers worldwide to reimagine how work gets done, drive greater efficiency, and scale like never before.

With over 2,500 employees across the globe, we grow by prioritizing transparency and knowledge sharing. We care about the impact you make, not the hours you clock, so we encourage initiative, ownership, and fresh thinking. We back our people with flexible work, wellness and mental health support, and a work environment built on collaboration.

We seek a dynamic and highly motivated individual to lead our Data Security team, within the Platform Security Group

This pivotal role focuses on driving the successful implementation of our data and AI platform and leveraging it with our Application Security capabilities - including developing, implementing, and monitoring secure procedures and technologies.

We use data science and massive amounts of our products traffic and behavior data to enhance the threat intelligence that is used in multiple Monday products

In this role, you will lead a team dedicated to identifying and investigating authorization errors (shift right), detecting inbound threats across our perimeter and uncovering phishing and abuse on the monday.com platform.

About The Role

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Lead a team working across multiple domains, including tool development, threat detection, incident response, and security analytics
  • Own and shape the future of our data security architecture, establishing a robust technical framework, and setting the direction for data governance
  • Work in close partnership with the Application Security team to ensure alignment on risk mitigation, threat modeling, and tooling handover
  • Drive progress in a dynamic environment, staying at the forefront of technology, AI, and company-wide initiatives
  • Align the team’s priorities and workload with various stakeholders and internal customers
  • Establish and maintain clear processes, playbooks, and handoff protocols for alerts, tools, and investigations
  • Closely collaborate with Monday’s SOC for security incident investigations, coordinating cross-functional efforts and leveraging data to drive decisions

Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning

Requirements

  • 3+ years of leadership experience, including team management, task delegation, and priority setting in a fast-paced environment
  • 5+ years of experience with data management, modeling, quality, warehousing, ETL, and analytics concepts and frameworks
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
  • Fully proficient in SQL
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset — able to troubleshoot technical challenges and analyze complex datasets
  • Experience in detecting and responding to inbound threats (e.g., authentication anomalies, brute-force, bots)
  • Solid understanding of platform abuse vectors, including phishing, spam, and automation
  • Expertise in secure access workflows for complex platforms, including rule-based systems and policy creation (e.g., OPA), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), etc.

Nice-to-Have

  • Familiarity with Python and/or JavaScript, including experience building security automation tools or services
  • Experience working with ML-based anomaly detection models and putting them into production environments
  • Experience with data pipeline orchestration and cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake and Airflow
