Job description

Your team’s dynamic:

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Genetec India, you will play a crucial role in building and expanding our customer base. You will work closely with the Country Manager, India, and the India sales organization on targeted accounts. Generate sales-qualified leads and collaborate with the marketing organization to optimize the movement of marketing-qualified leads to sales-qualified leads. Ultimately, contribute to the growth of our sales pipeline. This position will have both Inbound and Outbound responsibility. This position is ideal for those who are motivated, highly organized, and have a passion for engaging with potential customers and who are highly driven by metrics. Your KPI will be sales qualified leads.

You will need to be comfortable with matrix management. The position involves collaborative oversight from both the Country Manager, India, and the Senior Marketing Manager, APAC. You will receive supportive supervision from the Senior Marketing Manager, APAC, while ensuring alignment with the GTM strategy of the Country Manager, India.

What your day will look like:

  • Become highly proficient using lead generation tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, and Lushato extract contacts and create accurate and targeted lists of prospects
  • Follow prospecting plans and best practices to execute engagement strategies utilizing email, phone, and social selling techniques. Your ability to craft compelling messages and initiate meaningful conversations will be essential
  • Acquire sufficient knowledge and understanding to manage conversations with executives, decision makers, and other stakeholders in target accounts with the goal of scheduling a sales meeting. You will be a key representative of Genetec India and must be well-versed in our products and solutions
  • Assist Account Executives by moving along qualified leads through the sales cycle. You will be responsible for identifying the leads with the highest potential and ensuring a seamless handover to the sales team
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market developments. Share insights and feedback with the marketing and sales teams to improve targeting strategies. Your observations and research will be vital in keeping our strategies current and effective
  • Manage inbound leads with a prioritization strategy, ensuring that each lead is promptly and appropriately handled. Your goal is to qualify inbound leads efficiently 
  • Source new sales opportunities through conversations with outbound prospects using calls, chats, emails and LinkedIn messages in the accounts allocated to you. Achieve your qualified lead quota
  • Identify key decision-makers and/or key influencers within an organization across many different departments
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects

More about you:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of proven experience in a sales development or similar role in a B2B environment
  • Preferably from Enterprise software / SaaS sales experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Willing to work in the office three out of five days.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, driven, and able to work independently

Great if you have:

  • Familiarity with CRM and sales prospecting tools. Experience in Microsoft Dynamics and Outreach
  • Passion for technology and the security industry
