Position: Sr. Director of Business Development - Midwest Region

Job Type: Full Time 

Location: Remote - Remote (Must Live in Colorado or Illinois) 

Compensation: $140,000-160,000 Annual Salary + Incentives

In this role, you will leveragedata-driven methodologies to refine execution strategies, optimize referral networks, and expand market presence—ensuring we connect more families with the high-quality behavioral health care they need. 

As theDirector of Business Development for the Midwest Region, you will be at the forefront ofdriving strategic growth, building strong referral partnerships, and expanding Sandstone Care’s presencein key markets. This is ahigh-impact leadership rolewhere you will not only developstrategic partnershipsbut also be a key voice in shaping how wedeliver compassionate, evidence-based care to those who need it most. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape strategic initiatives, refine expansion strategies, and contribute directly to the executive leadership vision—positioning yourself for growth within Sandstone Care’s national business development leadership team. 

This role provides exciting opportunities for regional travel across the Midwest, allowing you to strengthen partnerships, cultivate new referral networks, and represent Sandstone Care at key industry events. Expect regular travel to Illinois and Colorado locations with flexibility in scheduling to maintain work-life balance while driving growth in these vital markets 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor ateam of 6-8 business development professionals in Illinois and Colorado, fostering a culture ofcollaboration, accountability, and high performance. 
  • Providecoaching, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunitiesto ensure team growth and success. 
  • Setclear performance metrics and sales goals, tracking progress and making data-driven adjustments as needed. 
  • Develop and overseeregional business development strategies, ensuring alignment with Sandstone Care’s overall mission and growth objectives. 
  • Conductmarket research and competitive analysisto identify opportunities for expansion and referral growth. 
  • Collaborate with executive leadership torefine and optimize business development processes. 
  • Work closely withclinical leadership, admissions, and marketing teamsto align referral generation efforts with program offerings. 
  • Ensure business development efforts supportoperational goals and census targetsacross multiple locations. 
  • Facilitate strongcommunication between teams, ensuring seamless coordination of referrals and program enrollment. 
  • Represent Sandstone Care inpublic speaking engagements, industry events, and networking functions. 
  • Advocate foradolescent and young adult mental health awareness, positioning Sandstone Care as a leader in the field. 
  • Establish partnerships withuniversities, hospitals, and community-based organizationsto expand awareness and access to services. 

 

Education Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing and/or behavioral health science is strongly preferred.

 

Experience Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in sales leadership is required (Must have experience managing high performing teams both in person and remotely) 
  • 5+ years of experience working in the Mental Health or Behavioral Health space in marketing and / or outreach is required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Power Point, Word, and Excel preferred 
  • Ideal candidates are highly self-motivated, very organized, personable, and outgoing
