The Role

As the Curriculum Development Manager at Boundless Life, you will lead the creation, innovation, and continuous improvement of our curriculum across all locations and age groups. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring that our educational offerings are not only academically rigorous but also deeply integrated with the local cultures, environments, and communities. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on curriculum design, working closely with a team of dedicated curriculum designers to deliver a cohesive and impactful learning experience for our students.

You will collaborate with various teams to integrate place-based learning, cultural immersion, and global perspectives into our curriculum while ensuring that it remains adaptable, dynamic, and aligned with our educational vision. Your work will help us continue to grow and enhance the Boundless Education experience, making it truly unique, engaging, and future-ready.

What You’ll Do

Curriculum Development & Oversight

  • Lead the creation, review, and continuous improvement of Boundless Life’s educational curriculums across Early Years, Pathfinders, and Trailblazers.

  • Lead the design of engaging summer programs aligned with Boundless’ philosophy and the specific needs of families joining the summer cohorts.

  • Ensure a cohesive learning experience across all age groups and locations, maintaining a consistent educational thread.

  • Develop core Boundless Elements for each educational stage and those that span across all age groups.

  • Ensure the integration of place-based learning elements that reflect regional cultures, environments, and resources.

  • Collaborate with the curriculum team to integrate and align cultural immersion and language learning components across all stages of education.

  • Work closely with the Head of Education Operations to ensure the effective implementation of curriculum and training programs across all locations.

Quest Time & Assessment Alignment

  • Enhance Quest Time through the integration of context-specific provocations tied to local environments.

  • Align assessment practices with educational goals, ensuring measurable outcomes that demonstrate student growth and learning progression.

  • Work closely with teachers to align Boundless Life’s standards-based outcomes with widely recognized educational benchmarks.

Third-Party Academic Partnerships

  • Manage relationships with third-party academic providers, ensuring the successful roll-out and ongoing development of these partnerships.

  • Oversee the development of necessary documentation for both internal use and communication with parents regarding these partnerships.

Training & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure the design and implementation of comprehensive training programs for education staff across locations are high-quality and effective.

  • Oversee the roll-out of training for new locations, new hires, and ongoing professional development.

  • Collaborate with the L&D team to create structured pathways for education team members to receive Boundless certification for different training levels.

  • Monitor and ensure the delivery of quality education through ongoing curriculum evaluation and feedback.

Team Management & Accountability

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of curriculum designers and education specialists, ensuring alignment with Boundless Life’s educational vision.

  • Establish clear goals, priorities, and accountability measures and ensure the team is performing consistently at a high level. 

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages experimentation and creativity in curriculum development.

  • Assess the effectiveness of the curriculum and its delivery.

  • Collaborate with the People team to attract and retain top Education talent. 

Family & Community Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for parents with concerns regarding curriculum and academic progress.

  • Address and manage family feedback, ensuring the curriculum evolves based on input from families and educators on the ground.

  • Collaborate with the broader team to ensure consistent communication with families, especially around curriculum updates and educational outcomes.

Success Metrics

  • Maintain a high NPS and rebooking rates across all locations.

  • Achieve above-average team retention and Employee NPS through effective leadership and development programs.

  • Effective performance of curriculum designers, with measurable impact on student outcomes.

  • Achievement of a cohesive, adaptable curriculum that meets the needs of both students and families.

  • Successful integration of place-based learning and cultural immersion in the curriculum.

About You

  • You have 10+ years of experience in education management, with a focus on curriculum development, experiential learning, and place-based education.

  • You have a strong background in scaling educational programs and managing global, multi-location operations.

  • You are passionate about fostering a high-quality, impactful learning environment for students, with an understanding of how to integrate local culture and context into education.

  • You excel in leading diverse teams, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative culture.

  • You are data-driven and can leverage analytics to track progress, improve processes, and inform decision-making.

  • You have experience working with third-party academic providers and can manage these relationships effectively.

  • You have strong communication skills and can collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure curriculum alignment with overall business goals.
