Job description

Overview:

Supports graduate contact and employment efforts through outreach and supporting graduates with career counseling, job leads and resume assistance.  Processing employment verification documentation, as needed. 

 

What We Offer:

• $21 - $25 per hour
• Weekends OFF

Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and support graduates to ensure they obtain gainful employment in their program of study.
  • Provides centralized support for all aspects of graduate career assistance.
  • Manages VOE inbox, including processing employment documentation as needed
  • Provides centralized support for all aspects of employment services activities, including career counseling, interview skill building, graduate outreach, verification of employment follow-up, etc.
  • Assists with identifying local and graduate employment opportunities and populating job boards
  • Creates resumes for active students
  • Supports all appropriate employment services tasks for the home office and campus teams as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education / Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in customer service and/or mentoring in a professional setting, preferred but not required.

Skills

  • Ability to advise and guide adult students in career development 
  • Computer skills required (i.e., Word, Excel)
  • Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Abilities

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds 5% or less of the workday
  • Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday
  • Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday
  • Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
  • Available flexible hours and some Saturdays

 Work Environment

  • Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
