We are looking for a Product Designer to join our rapidly growing and fully remote team. As a Product Designer at SVI, you will be laying the foundation for world-class solutions. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a team, including solution architects, designers, and developers, to bring about solutions that delight our clients.

What You Will Be Doing

  • As part of a team, you will be shaping the right solution for the client with the right technology, at the right price point, and with the appropriate risk profile.
  • Interview customers to understand their needs and synthesize that data into actionable recommendations.
  • Help define the vision for user experience, collaborating with our Product teams to turn that vision into reality.
  • Lead design projects through the product development lifecycle, working closely with Business Analysts, Developers and Architects to understand problems and iterate through the solution
  • Plan and execute user research, deploying all the tools to understand user motivations, habits, and workflows
  • Produce highly engaging and functional sketches, wireframes, user flows, user journeys, prototypes, and hi-fidelity user interface designs
  • Designing for multiple platforms (i.e., responsive web, iOS, Android)
  • Champion user experience and advocate for design and user research best practices across the organization, helping to build our design culture and systems
  • Contribute to the company's design system that will be shared across the entire Design team
  • Apply human-centered design methods to understand and visualize information

What We Look For

The best candidate for this role will have the proven ability to work at both a UX and a UI level to create amazing software for our clients

  • Three plus years of software design experience is required UX/UI
  • Experience working for a consulting or services firm is preferred
  • Ability to travel as required; Approximately 15%
  • BS degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or other related areas is required, MS preferred.
  • An understanding of visual design principles and a familiarity with common design tools (i.e. Figma, InVision)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills
  • Up to date on current design trends
  • A willingness to learn from feedback and grow from new experiences
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Agile software development and human centered design
