Job description

Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking a Financial Analyst to join HMI’s Finance Global Rotational Program, working across various regions and physical locations, and reporting to our America's CFO. This can be a hybrid position in one of three locations, Irving, TX, Novi, MI, or North Kingstown, RI starting in January or May 2025.

Hexagon’s Financial Analyst Global Rotational Program is a comprehensive finance based rotational structure which combines real-life business experience with work on important projects and initiatives, with exposure to different markets, work environments and cultural contexts. The Financial Analyst stepping into this role will have the opportunity to grow across Hexagon’s Finance organization in areas such as accounting, FP&A, controlling and other areas such as internal audits, treasury and tax.


The Financial Analyst Global Rotational Program duration is 18 months in total with a rotation every 6 months across the globe to improve global business understanding and knowledge. After successful completion of the program, participants will find themselves in a position at Hexagon with an exceptional understanding of the Finance organization


  • Successfully complete 3 rotations globally, in various parts of the Finance organization and broader business.
  • Work with the US FP&A team to complete a 6-month project, focused on HMI’s commercial optimization. This will include:
  • Working with the business to develop a deep understanding of revenue and prices.
  • Identify areas to optimize our gross margins.
  • Develop discounting model to understand effects on software margins.
  • Exhibit full understanding from top line revenue, to cost of goods sold.
  • Develop key relationships with stakeholders across the business.
  • Demonstrate understanding of analysis by applying knowledge and anticipating issues and demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks or processes.
  • Understand and analyze key trends across HMI’s product portfolio and identify key financial trends.
  • Communicate issues identified, proactively recommend the most appropriate/effective resolutions and present effectively to management.
  • Work on and/or lead special projects that require research and analysis.
  • Maintain integrity of data in various financial systems and data assets.


Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Finance or Accounting. Must attain degree before onboarding.
  • Geographically mobile (NA, EMEA, KAI, Japan) throughout the Navigator Finance Program.
  • Involved in campus and/or volunteer activities, leadership role preferred.
  • Strong PC skills in Excel & PowerPoint. Financial software experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
  • Good time management/organization. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
