We’re looking for a Business Development Representative to join the National Sales team!

How can you make an impact?

The Business Development Representative will work in an enriching, collaborative environment where we create opportunities for learners and celebrate successes. Sales team members help educators optimize the use of MH digital products for improved student outcomes. Our team takes pride in being adaptable, leaning into continuous learning, and always driving for results. We are looking for a team member who is highly organized, can independently problem solve, and brings perserverance to their work.

Candidates live within reasonable travel distance to Dubuque, Iowa or Chicago, Illinois are preferred.

What you will be doing:

  • Drive revenue by communicating with new and existing customers through inbound lead follow-up via outbound calls and emails.
  • Utilize sales skills and tools to identify instructor needs and close new business.
  • Work with existing customers to retain business, update to new editions, and drive success within our digital platforms.  
  • Demonstrate McGraw Hill’s digital products via web conferencing tools.
  • Communicate effectively with internal product specialists and marketing for assistance on targeted opportunities.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and seasonal planning for assigned higher education accounts.
  • Successfully complete ongoing company training requirements. 

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of sales or higher education industry experience is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong digital skills and ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic/complex environment.
  • Strong team player.
  • Demonstrates positive winning attitude.

The pay range for this position is between $40,000 - 52,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. An annual sales incentive plan is included as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
