Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Take charge as a Senior Engineer specializing in Salesforce CPQ/Billing, overseeing the design, development, and upkeep of the SFDC CPQ/Billing application.
  • Design, configure, administer, and tailor SFDC CPQ and Billing applications, demonstrating proficiency in Apex code, Custom Objects, Workflow Rules, Custom Fields, Validation Rules, and VisualForce Pages.
  • Develop and manage technical design documents, ensuring comprehensive documentation of system architecture.
  • Assist in integrating CPQ and Billing applications with Workday Financials.
  • Assume ownership of system configuration and user setup when necessary, including configuring fields, workflows, roles/permissions, page layouts, custom objects, custom record types, reports, saved searches, and dashboards.
  • Create and update system documentation, encompassing configuration changes, data mapping requirements, functional designs, test cases, and deployment plans as required for the project.
  • Identify and address the root cause of defects within the system, developing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with Scrum Master and Business Analysts to define project scope and provide accurate estimates.
  • Offer pre- and post-implementation technical support, ensuring smooth transitions and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with SFDC support to resolve issues related to Subscription Billing and associated applications, maintaining platform operation and performance.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely and high-quality completion.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience working with Salesforce platform & CPQ, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of its capabilities and limitations.
  • Possess at least 5 years of expertise as an SFDC architect, showcasing advanced knowledge of the Salesforce platform.
  • Hold 5+ years of experience in implementing and supporting large-scale, technically complex solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Proficient in integrating the Salesforce platform with both internal and external systems.
  • Strong programming background, with proficiency in languages such as APEX, Visualforce, Lightning, and Java.
  • Familiarity with enterprise integration architectures such as SOA, RESTful, and ETL.
  • Deep understanding of CPQ, SaaS, and subscription billing processes, with a preference for knowledge in Quoting, Opportunity Management, and Order Management processes.
  • Proficiency in software testing methodologies, including the ability to build and execute test plans across unit, functional, and user acceptance test cycles.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, enabling effective interpretation of logic, data tables, and rule relationships.
  • Capacity for self-directed learning and quick adaptation to new skills as required.
  • Experience in translating customer business requirements into practical technical solutions.
