Job description

Our client, a well-respected Hong Kong conglomerate with a rich history dating back to 1842, seeks a highly skilled Finance and IT Manager to join their dynamic team. This role will be based in Vietnam (home office).

The Housewares Division:

  • Provides exclusive product design and sourcing to leading housewares brands worldwide.
  • Sells products across 9 kitchenware categories.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial operations of all group companies, providing comprehensive accounting services (daily tasks, monthly reports, financial analysis).
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly accounts, financial reports, and management reports.
  • Manage overall accounting services for family members (daily tasks, monthly reports, financial analysis).
  • Develop and implement strategic financial plans to contribute to overall business success.
  • Create budgets and forecasts focused on growth and efficiency.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and implement plans to optimize cash management and explore strategies to increase cash flow in business activities.
  • Manage relationships with banks, coordinating and achieving goals for banking facilities.
  • Manage export credit, insurance, and product liability for the trading business.
  • Continuously review and streamline daily operations to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen internal control systems.
  • Supervise timely statutory returns and tax filings.
  • Liaise with auditors to complete audited accounts.
  • Support ERP implementation aligned with internal control and financial reporting requirements.
  • Advise the CEO on corporate structure, tax, and cash management for a new joint venture in Vietnam, including managing operational activities.
  • Generate ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Oversee the IT department.
  • Lead the sourcing and implementation of a CRM system for the sales team (when required).
  • Analyze overall business operations in Hong Kong and overseas to identify areas for productivity improvement.
  • Develop strategic and operational plans to enhance IT capabilities and support company goals.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a degree in Accountancy/Finance or a related discipline.
  • Possesses a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, HKICPA, etc.).
  • Boasts at least 5 years of managerial experience in the accounting field.
  • Possesses strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Offers hands-on knowledge and experience in Hong Kong accounting and tax matters, with experience/exposure to Vietnamese business operations preferred.
  • Has related work experience in IT (advantageous).
  • Possesses solid user/implementation experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (preferred).
  • Demonstrates knowledge of costing and inventory control.
  • Exhibits strong English and Chinese (Mandarin) written and spoken communication skills.
  • Possesses strong analytical and communication skills with a proactive approach.
  • Maintains a detail-oriented and well-organized approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
