Job description

Our Operations and Procurement Team

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director to join our procurement team. This role focuses on managing the procurement processes and team members for indirect spend categories. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in procurement, finance, operations or accounting.

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations, and this is a remote work from home opportunity with flexible office space on demand.

How You'll Make a Difference

  • Partner with stakeholders to develop plans that drive business results and communicate progress against that plan.
  • Manage, lead and develop a team of professionals to drive results for the business.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to improve financial results.
  • Capable of interpreting metrics and come up with creative ideas to improve metrics.
  • Engage legal and other internal stakeholders in policy and process updates.
  • Assess, manage, and mitigate risks.
  • Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies for indirect spend categories.
  • Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing.
  • Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
  • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes in the market.
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
  • Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Have a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, finance or accounting.
  • 10+ years of work experience in operations, procurement, finance or accounting, preferably in a large multinational corporation.
  • Strong preference for candidates with technology backgrounds including IT hardware and or software.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems.
  • Have proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with excellent Excel skills.
  • Ability to gather, analyze and model data.
  • CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
