Job description

Intro

ContractHero is a contract management platform for mid-sized and enterprise companies. Upload a contract and our analysis turns it into structured data in seconds, with every value linked back to the passage it came from. Then just ask: our AI assistant answers questions about a single contract or an entire portfolio, and through our MCP server customers query their contracts straight from Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot. Around that sit dashboards and reports, automations, e-signatures, and integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, DocuSign, SharePoint and Word, used by legal, finance, procurement and management alike.

We're about 20 people, and our developers build and run all of it: webapp, API, the document and AI pipeline, and the infrastructure underneath. Coding agents are part of how we work every day, and we expect them to be part of yours.

Your Role

We're a team of Full Stack Developers, and we're looking for a strong all-rounder - someone who's comfortable across the whole stack and happy to go wherever the interesting problem is. One week that's a customer-facing feature in the webapp, the next it's an API, the document and AI pipeline, or a gnarly production issue. You build things end to end and own them once they ship.

This is a build-and-own role: you take a problem from a rough spec to a shipped, tested, observable feature in production.

Your Profile

- Multiple years of experience as a Full Stack Developer or in a similar role
- Strong JavaScript / TypeScript skills across both Node.js and React
- Genuine breadth - comfortable owning a feature from database and API through to UI, and not shy about the parts outside your comfort zone
- You've built something you're proud of, at work or on your own - the application form asks about it
- Experience with databases, especially PostgreSQL
- Comfortable working with AWS and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- An analytical mind that likes digging into problems
- Located in Germany
- Experience with Nest.js is a plus
- Nice to have: document/PDF processing or AI/LLM-assisted extraction knowledge

Why ContractHero

- As part of a still-small team, you'll take responsibility from day 1, working directly with the CTO and being part of key strategic decisions.
- Competitive salary package
- 30 days paid vacation
- 100% remote within Germany
- Regular team events and strong engineering culture
- Flat hierarchies with direct founder access
