Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with 3–4 years of experience in Agile software development, requirements gathering, user story creation, backlog management, and client coordination.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience translating business requirements into functional specifications, collaborating with development teams, managing sprint deliverables, and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Experience working with educational software products and US-based customers will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from client stakeholders.
  

• Translate feature requests into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, and workflow diagrams.
  

• Conduct requirement-gathering sessions, backlog grooming, sprint refinement, and Agile ceremonies.
  

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, QA, and engineering teams to clarify requirements and resolve functional gaps.
  

• Manage and prioritize user stories and product backlogs using Jira.
  

• Validate sprint deliverables against business requirements and acceptance criteria.
  

• Coordinate end-to-end UAT with clients, including test scenarios, defect tracking, and sign-off.
  

• Understand and validate REST API requirements, API contracts, and workflow schemas.
  

• Perform requirement traceability, scope verification, gap analysis, and user access/permission matrix mapping.
  

• Review wireframes, UI workflows, and functional designs to ensure alignment with business requirements.
  

• Coordinate with US-based stakeholders and provide regular project updates.
  

Required Skills

• 3–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst in software development projects.
  

• Strong experience in Agile/Scrum, SDLC, requirement gathering, and functional analysis.
  

• Hands-on experience in user story writing, acceptance criteria, backlog grooming, and sprint refinement.
  

• Proficiency in Jira for user story and backlog management.
  

• Experience in UAT coordination, functional testing, and requirement validation.
  

• Good understanding of REST APIs, API contracts, and workflow mapping.
  

• Experience preparing BRD, FRD, functional specifications, process flows, and traceability matrices.
  

• Familiarity with wireframing and workflow design tools.
  

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  

• Ability to identify business rule gaps, clarify requirements, and define functional boundaries.
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience working on EdTech / Educational Software Products.
  

• Knowledge of digital learning features, including SMIL-based audio highlighting, dictionary overlays, and interactive content workflows.
  

• Experience coordinating with US-based clients.
  

• IIBA CBAP certification or equivalent Business Analysis certification.
