Sr Performance Marketing Manager

MoneyGram International UK/Europe, USA/Canada,

About the role

As part of our performance transformation, we're hiring a Senior performance marketing to lead creative strategy, testing and velocity, in close partnership with our creative team, across Universal App Campaigns (UAC) and Performance Max (PMax), alongside Google Ads and Apple Search Ads (ASA), for a portfolio of countries across Europe and further afield. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a search marketer who lives in the details-someone who knows how to scale campaigns, drive efficient customer acquisition, and run high-velocity creative experiments across UAC and PMax. You'll own daily channel execution, manage complex budgets, build creative testing roadmaps, and scale programs like PMax.

You'll collaborate closely with the creative team, product, analytics, and regional growth teams to brief and build a steady pipeline of new creative assets and to ensure paid search plays a central role in our growth engine. This role is built for an all rounder, comfortable working hand in hand with creative partners and who's technical, data-driven, and always pushing for more efficient, scalable acquisition. We use AI extensively across media buying and creative to drive efficiency, and you'll help us take that further.
If you've scaled ASA, UAC, or Google Search in fast-moving environments and are ready to build on a global stage-we'd love to talk.

What you'll do

  • Own creative strategy, testing, and velocity across UAC and Performance Max (PMax), alongside Google Search and Apple Search Ads-for a portfolio of high-priority markets with real global scale.
  • Manage channel structure, targeting, bidding, and pacing-balancing growth with CAC efficiency and LTV payback.
  • Build and run a high-cadence creative testing program across UAC and PMax, working hand in hand with the creative team to brief and launch new concepts, formats, and asset variants every week, with clear hypotheses, success metrics, and fast scale-or-kill decisions-alongside keyword, bidding, ad copy, and landing page tests.
  • Track testing velocity and learning rate-tests launched, time to significance, win rate, and creative refresh cadence-and document and share learnings across markets.
  • Report on performance and trends across UAC, PMax, and ASA-developing clear creative-level insights and making strategic recommendations to improve results.
  • Prepare detailed quarterly plans and forecasts-backed by channel expertise, data, and a bias for testing.
  • Collaborate with product and CRO teams to improve conversion paths, app onboarding, and post-click performance.
  • Work directly with platform reps (Google, Apple) to unlock beta access, resolve issues quickly, and stay on the cutting edge of campaign innovation.
  • Partner with regional marketing teams to ensure your campaigns are aligned with local strategy, language, and customer insights.
  • Bring efficiency metrics to the center-owning CAC, CPAs, ROAS, and marginal return analysis to guide smarter spend decisions.
  • Use AI tools to drive efficiency across media buying and creative-from bid and budget optimization to asset generation and variant testing-and share what works with the wider team.
  • Embed AI in your day-to-day management of campaigns to surface growth opportunities faster, and work with the creative team to use AI creative to scale asset production and testing.
  • Stay sharp on search trends-from match-type changes to creative requirements, app promotion updates, and new campaign types.

What we're looking for

  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience in paid search, with deep expertise in Google Ads, ASA, and UAC. Hands-on experience running creative tests and scaling Performance Max is essential.
  • Proven track record of scaling campaigns across geographies and optimizing to aggressive CAC/LTV goals.
  • Comfortable owning both strategy and execution-working with large budgets and fast feedback loops.
  • Deep understanding of app install campaigns and app lifecycle optimization (onboarding, retention, monetization).
  • Able to demonstrate hands on use of Ai to assist with day to day management of campaigns and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of how to apply AI to increase creative velocity and quality - from concept generation to asset production and iteration - in partnership with the creative team.
  • Proven experience running high-velocity creative testing across UAC and PMax-building test plans, managing experiments, and iterating quickly based on creative and audience insights.
  • Cross-functional operator-experienced in working with analytics, product, creative, and regional marketing teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communicator, with the ability to clearly share performance results, tradeoffs, and ideas.
  • Based in the US or UK. Comfortable working independently across time zones.
  • Ambitious and growth-minded-this is an IC role with the potential to grow into leadership.
