Position: Editorial, Deck & Document Designer (AI Evaluation)
Type: Contract
Compensation: $70–$120/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Guide research teams to improve AI model performance in presentation design, editorial layout, typography, and print production.
• Design real-world deck and document tasks, producing reference deliverables in editable source formats.
• Evaluate AI-generated presentations and documents, providing clear feedback on grids, type hierarchy, chart accuracy, and print color.
• Develop guidelines and quality checks for layout and typography, including technical checks on slide and PDF files.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure consistency and accuracy in training data.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 5+ years of presentation, editorial, or document design experience for agencies or commercial clients.
• Expert command of PowerPoint and browser-based slide tools, including think-cell.
• Expert command of Adobe InDesign for multi-page documents.
• Working fluency in Figma and Illustrator for brand systems and vector charts.
• Print prepress ownership: bleed, trim, safe area, folds, dielines, imposition, Pantone and CMYK.
• A track record of executive chartbooks, board decks, infographics, and data visualization.
• Fluency delivering and working from editable source files.
• Hands-on use of generative AI tools in professional work.
• A public portfolio or reel of shipped work.
• Ability to engage reliably for at least 40 hours/week.
• Strong written communication skills.
