This is a remote position.
Basic Function:
This is a balanced, digitally native creative role built for a marketing team shifting toward digital marketing and demand generation. The Digital Content Creator & Multimedia Designer creates the visual content that powers our brand and sales efforts — graphic design for flyers, presentations, live-event and tradeshow materials, and sales collateral, coupled with video production for YouTube and social. Graphic design and video are equal, core parts of the role, supported by brand work and digital/web design.
Beyond production, this person helps uphold and evolve our brand across every channel, translates complex tax and engineering topics into clear and engaging visual stories, and writes sharp short-form copy such as headlines, hooks, and captions. We're looking for a dynamic, driven creator who solves problems, builds fast, and uses today's tools — including AI — to work efficiently and punch above their weight. This person partners closely with our Demand Generation Manager to turn campaign strategy into high-performing creative.
This is a fast-paced, high-output position ideal for a creator who thrives on variety, moves comfortably between the editing timeline and the design canvas, and believes great content is both beautiful and measurable.
Position's Intention:
To conceptualize, design, and produce visual content across graphic design and video that aligns with our brand, deepens engagement across digital platforms, and directly supports sales enablement, live events, and demand-generation goals.
Success Measurements:
Performance is measured by the impact of the work on the brand, sales, and audience engagement — not activity alone. Representative measures include:
- Quality and consistency of design across collateral, presentations, event materials, and every channel.
- Turnaround and reliability on sales-enablement, live-event, and internal requests.
- Video performance: views, watch time / retention, subscriber growth on YouTube, and completion / save rates on short-form (Reels, Shorts, TikTok).
- Content output and cadence: reliable delivery of the hub-and-spoke content engine (a hub video repurposed into a batch of short-form cuts).
- Contribution to demand-gen campaigns: engagement and conversion on the creative you produce.
Essential Functions:
This is a balanced role. Graphic design and sales-support work and video/multimedia are both core, roughly equal parts of the job.
Graphic Design & Sales Enablement
- Design sales-support and marketing collateral — flyers, one-pagers, brochures, sell sheets, and case studies — that help the sales team communicate our value.
- Build and polish professional PowerPoint presentations and well-designed Microsoft Word documents that are clear, compelling, and on-brand.
- Create graphics for live events and tradeshows — pull-up banners, tablecloths, backdrops, signage, QR codes, and flyers — with full understanding of the print process from design to shipment.
- Partner with the sales team to keep materials current, consistent, and ready when they need them.
Video & Multimedia Content
- Edit long-form video for YouTube — including SlashTax podcast episodes and educational content — with clean cuts, pacing, captions/subtitles, chapters, intros/outros, thumbnails, and on-screen graphics.
- Produce short-form vertical video (Reels, Shorts, TikTok) by cutting and repurposing hub content into a steady batch of clips (the hub-and-spoke model).
- Create motion graphics and animation for social, web, and presentations.
- Support podcast/studio production: basic lighting and audio setup, framing, and post-production cleanup (color, sound leveling, noise reduction).
- Write short, effective hooks, captions, titles, and descriptions that earn attention and support each platform's algorithm.
Brand & Creative Development
- Monitor, maintain, and evolve the visual and verbal brand identity — consistency in imagery, design, tone, and language across every channel and touchpoint.
- Create and maintain brand assets and templates across digital and print.
- Continuously scout new formats, platforms, and technology (including AI-assisted tools) to evolve how the brand shows up.
Digital & Web Design
- Design the look and feel of landing pages and web assets that support marketing campaigns — visually compelling, on-brand, and built to convert.
- Create developer-ready design mockups (e.g., in Figma) and hand them off to the development team for build — this is a visual design role, not a front-end coding role.
- In partnership with the Demand Generation Manager, design ad creative for paid social and LinkedIn, email campaigns, and digital ads sized to platform specs.
- Produce social graphics tailored to each platform and audience, and refine creative based on campaign feedback.
Other duties as assigned.

Graphic Design & Creative Expertise (must-have)

- Solid video editing skill in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; comfort with short-form tools (e.g., CapCut, Descript).
- Strong understanding of video storytelling, audience engagement, and platform best practices, including editing pace, thumbnail strategy, captioning and content optimization for YouTube and short-form social platforms.
- Working knowledge of production basics: lighting, audio capture, color correction, and sound editing; motion graphics / animation capability.
Digital & Web Design
- Understanding of UX/UI design principles — visual hierarchy, mobile-first layouts, and clean, conversion-minded design.
- Ability to produce developer-ready mockups (e.g., in Figma) for the dev team to build. (Front-end coding is not required.)
- Experience designing landing pages and digital assets that look great and convert.
Marketing & Demand-Gen Support
- Solid understanding of digital marketing and how content and creative move an audience through the funnel.
- Able to partner with a Demand Generation Manager, turning campaign strategy into high-performing creative.
- Familiarity with paid social / LinkedIn ad specs, email, and landing-page best practices; uses engagement data to sharpen creative.
Software & Tools
- Adobe Creative Suite — Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
- Figma (or equivalent) and short-form video tools (CapCut, Descript).
- Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to produce well-designed Word documents and PowerPoint decks.
- Hands-on use of AI-assisted design, video, and content tools to work faster and produce more — a core expectation, not a bonus.
- Familiarity with content management systems.
Work Style & Interpersonal
- Proactive, self-directed, and organized; able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a track record of taking projects from concept to final delivery.
- Collaborative communicator, open to feedback, and committed to continuous growth.
