About Our Competitive Strategy Practice
Prescient has four core practices: Commercial, Competitor Intelligence, Medical, and Value, Pricing and Access. We specialise in supporting our biopharma clients in making insightful strategic choices for their products and portfolios. Our offerings are designed to anticipate and respond to competitive risk across the product life cycle – from early pipeline through post-launch – delivering timely insights and strategic implications that enable integrated decision making across competitive intelligence, marketing, medical and commercial functions.
The Competitive Strategy practice is on an exciting journey to expand our customer-centric team. When you join this exciting venture, you will work with global healthcare and pharmaceutical clients across the full product life cycle, from discovery to loss of exclusivity, to help them unlock the full potential of their brands and portfolios.
As a Principal, you will spend approximately 80% of your time on project delivery and team leadership and 20% on business development, primarily within existing accounts.

You will be part of a fast-growing PE-backed business that allows high-performing employees to make an impact and contribute to growing the business. You will have the chance to channel your experience and know-how into supporting the development and commercialization of our clients’ assets and portfolios.
As a Principal, you will lead multiple concurrent engagements end to end – from scoping and design through to final recommendations – with considerable independence. You will lead and develop a team of Engagement Managers, Consultants and Analysts, typically including direct reports, and will be accountable for the quality, timeliness and profitability of the work you oversee.
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, shaping the strategic questions our projects are designed to answer, and will partner with Directors and Vice Presidents to grow accounts through our “land and expand” model. You will also help build the practice by participating in or leading internal initiatives such as team training, new methodologies and tools.
