Job description

Schedule: Part-time, 10 hours per week    Reports to: Clinic Owner

Work arrangement: Flexible mix of community outreach, remote administrative work, and occasional onsite meetings in St. Louis County and surrounding communities.

About the Opportunity

Ellie Mental Health – Concord is committed to making mental health care more accessible, approachable, and connected to the community. We seek a proactive, personable relationship-builder to nurture professional referral partnerships, expand appropriate clinical referrals, and grow awareness and participation in Path To Hope™ non-clinical education and community programs.

This is not a flyer-distribution or general marketing role. Success requires listening to community partners, understanding our clinicians and programs, following through consistently, and connecting people with relevant resources.

Key Responsibilities

Community Partnerships & Referral Development
  • Maintain meaningful relationships with existing referral partners, including healthcare providers, schools, community organizations, and behavioral-health professionals.
  • Develop a focused pipeline of new partnerships through calls, emails, in-person visits, and selected networking events.
  • Identify collaborative opportunities such as community presentations, educational workshops, and partner events.
Clinical Referral Growth
  • Learn Ellie Concord clinicians’ specialties, populations served, accepted insurance plans, and current availability.
  • Coordinate with clinic leadership and scheduling to prioritize outreach aligned with actual appointment capacity and community needs.
  • Track referral sources and referral-to-scheduled-intake trends; share barriers and opportunities for improvement.
Path To Hope™ Community Program Growth
  • Introduce Path To Hope™ educational series, workshops, and creative wellness programs to relevant schools, employers, parent groups, and community organizations.
  • Develop partnerships that support registrations, attendance, and sustained community engagement.
  • Help people find appropriate pathways to Ellie Concord clinical services when they request therapy, while clearly distinguishing non-clinical education from psychotherapy.
Relationship Management & Collaboration
  • Maintain an accurate, practical CRM or outreach tracker with contacts, conversations, next steps, and follow-up dates.
  • Provide a brief weekly summary of outreach, referral trends, program opportunities, and next actions.
  • Work with the Clinic Owner, clinic operations and scheduling teams, clinicians, and marketing partners to coordinate priorities and messaging.
  • Use approved materials and follow privacy, confidentiality, and Ellie brand standards.
Social Media & Digital Promotion (Preferred, Not Required)
  • Identify partnership stories, community events, and educational offerings suitable for digital promotion.
  • If experienced, support occasional social posts or content coordination for LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, using approved messaging and permissions.
  • Familiarity with Canva, scheduling tools, and basic social analytics is a plus; ongoing social media management is not the primary responsibility of this role.

Illustrative Weekly Allocation — 10 Hours

| Existing partner nurturing and follow-up | 3 hours
| New partnership development | 2 hours
| Path To Hope program outreach | 2 hours
| CRM and referral tracking | 1.5 hours
| Leadership coordination and reporting | 1.5 hours

Qualifications & Attributes

  • Strong interpersonal communication, curiosity, relationship-building skills, and reliable follow-through.
  • Experience in community outreach, business development, healthcare marketing, nonprofit partnerships, or related work preferred.
  • Interest in mental health, family well-being, and community education; clinical credentials are not required.
  • Comfort with spreadsheets, CRM tools, email, and basic performance reporting.
  • Sound professional judgment, discretion, independent time management, and reliable local transportation.
  • Social media content creation, Canva, and digital promotion experience are valued extras.

Measures of Success

Meaningful partner touchpoints; new and re-engaged referral relationships; referrals and scheduled intakes attributable to partner outreach where trackable; Path To Hope program inquiries and registrations; timely follow-up; accurate CRM records; and progress against agreed monthly and quarterly goals.

First 90 Days

Days 1–30: Learn clinician services and Path To Hope offerings, review existing relationships, prioritize approximately 20–30 partners, and establish a tracking cadence. Days 31–60: Reconnect with priority partners, develop new relationships, and promote relevant programs. Days 61–90: Demonstrate consistent outreach, report early referral and program-engagement trends, and recommend improvements.

Our Vision

Meaningful growth begins with meaningful relationships. This specialist will help Ellie Concord become a trusted resource for compassionate clinical care, mental health education, and community connection—creating more pathways to hope.

This is a remote position.

Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Seeking creative & collaborative humans with a passion for changing mental health care in fun and meaningful ways.

Don’t meet EVERY requirement?

Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. Ellie Mental Health is devoted to purposefully building an inclusive and diverse workplace where all of our humans can be their authentic selves! (Authenticity is one of our core values, after all…)If you’re excited about the chance to be a change-maker with us, but your past experience doesn’t perfectly align with every single qualification of the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. Our mental health jobs need dedicated individuals from every background who are willing to care for others. And who knows, you might just be the perfect candidate for another role!

Employee Experience

We take care of our people. It’s that simple. From investing in their financial future, to providing wages that shatter the ceiling in our industry to reasonable caseload expectations we ensure that our people are happy. Happy employees do better work and provide better client care! No matter what it is that you do in your mental health career at Ellie, our clients depend on us cultivating an environment where our employees can thrive so that they can thrive too!

Y’all, jobs in mental health are tough jobs with a high risk of emotional fatigue and burnout. At Ellie, we use all of our core values of humor, creativity, authenticity, acceptance, determination, and compassion not just out in our communities, but we turn them inwards too! Our employees have clear growth paths for advancing their careers.

We have created a culture that reminds us that our employees are our leaders!

Company Structure

Ellie is a socially responsible for-profit business, which allows us to be flexible and responsive to our community’s needs. Many mental health and wellness-focused companies are non-profits or government agencies, which rely on the general public, grants, or large donors for funding. This model often results in little creativity and lower compensation for employees, promoting a work culture that just makes people feel “blah.”

Feelingblah doesn’t help employees stay motivated, engaged, or even in their jobs for a very long time! So we created a new model: one that puts flexibility, innovative decision-making, creativity, and our people first, while remaining a socially conscious and responsible for-profit business focused on changing how we treat mental health.

In short, we’re just people helping people. Wanna join the herd?
