Job description

Oxford Data Plan (ODP) is a SaaS business providing alternative data tracking platforms to institutional investors, including hedge funds and asset managers. In September 2026 ODP was named one of 25 companies in Tech Nation's Future Fifty cohort, the UK programme for high-growth tech scaleups. We operate across the UK, US and UAE, with a growing operations and back-office team in the Philippines. This is a scale-up environment: processes are still being built, and this role will shape many of them.

The Head of Marketing owns how ODP is known, understood and chosen by institutional investors. You will lead the existing marketing team, run a balanced programme across brand, product marketing and demand generation, and make marketing a measurable contributor to pipeline and revenue.

Key responsibilities

Lead the marketing team

• Manage, coach and develop the marketing team; set priorities, objectives and performance standards.

• Own the marketing plan and budget, with clear allocation across brand, product marketing and demand generation.

• Own the marketing tech stack (HubSpot, website, analytics): data quality, configuration and adoption.

• Report marketing performance and return on spend to the CRO and leadership team monthly.

Build the brand and positioning

• Define and maintain ODP's positioning, messaging and brand standards for institutional investors.

• Own the website, content and thought leadership, including data-led research and insights.

• Grow ODP's profile with hedge funds and asset managers across the UK, US and UAE.

• Manage PR, events and partner relationships where they support the brand.

Lead product marketing

• Work with Product, Tech and Data to turn platform capabilities into clear value propositions.

• Lead go-to-market for new products, datasets and features, from launch plan to sales enablement.

• Produce sales collateral, case studies and competitive intelligence.

• Feed customer and market insight into the product roadmap.

Drive demand generation and pipeline

• Agree pipeline targets with the CRO and own marketing's contribution to them.

• Plan and run multi-channel campaigns: email, content, events, paid and account-based marketing.

• Agree lead management with Sales: scoring, routing, handoff SLAs and follow-up.

• Track funnel conversion and attribution, and move spend to what works.

Skills and experience

Essential

• 7+ years in B2B marketing, including 2+ years managing a team.

• Experience in a B2B SaaS or subscription business.

• Track record across brand, product marketing and demand generation, with measurable pipeline impact.

• Strong working knowledge of HubSpot or a comparable marketing automation platform and CRM.

• Analytical and comfortable with funnel metrics, attribution and budget return.

• Strong writer who can explain technical data products to sophisticated buyers.

• Clear, direct communicator who can work with senior leaders and hands-on team members alike.

Desirable

• Experience marketing data or fintech products to financial services and institutional investors.

• Exposure to scale-up growth stages, fundraising or investor due diligence.

• Account-based marketing and events experience in UK and US markets.

• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g. Zapier) and website CMS platforms.
