Job description

Our Mission and Vision
At Solidgate, our mission is clear: to empower outstanding entrepreneurs to build exceptional internet companies. We exist to fuel the builders — the ones shaping the digital economy — with the financial infrastructure they deserve. To achieve that, we’re on a bold path: to become the #1 payments orchestration platform in the world.

We believe the future of payments is shaped by people who think big, take ownership, and bring curiosity and drive to everything they do. That’s exactly the kind of teammates we want on board.

We’re building the #1 payment orchestrator in the world — and the names behind us prove it. Clients include Bolt, Ajax, Nova Post, MEGOGO. Trusted by giants like J.P. Morgan. Ranked #2 in the “Employer of the Year 2026” award by Forbes Ukraine.

About the Role

You'll help build Solidgate Tax, our in-house tax engine covering registration, calculation, nexus monitoring, filing, and remittance across the US, Canada, and EU.

As the Tax & Customers domain expands, so does the complexity of our roadmap. Today, the Group PM leads this team alongside the entire Billing stream. You'll become the first dedicated analyst, taking ownership of requirements and integrations to help the team ship faster and build scalable solutions.

This is a hands-on role at the intersection of product, business, and engineering, with a clear path to grow into a Product Manager.

What You Will Own

  • Drive requirements. Turn product ideas into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and development-ready specifications.

  • Analyze integrations. Explore internal and third-party APIs, map data flows, and document system interactions.

  • Shape product flows. Work with the PM and engineers on merchant-facing features, from nexus monitoring to tax filing.

  • Solve complex cases. Clarify business logic, identify edge cases, and remove ambiguity before development.

  • Keep the team aligned. Collaborate with engineering, product, and finance to ensure everyone works from the same requirements.

  • Own documentation. Maintain a reliable source of truth for product and system logic.

Team Setup

You'll join the Tax & Customers team within the Billing stream, collaborating with engineers, the Engineering Manager, product/data analysts, and the finance team.

Your future manager and mentor is Valentyn Pidpalyi, Group PM and Billing stream lead.

Why This Role Is a Career Accelerator

  • Clear path to Product Management. Grow into a PM role within 12–18 months, with direct mentorship from the Group PM.

  • Build, don't patch. Work on a recently rebuilt system with minimal technical debt, combining in-house tax logic with third-party integrations.

  • Develop rare expertise. Gain deep knowledge of international tax compliance, fintech infrastructure, and complex API integrations.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 1–2+ years as a Business, Product, or System Analyst in a product company

  • Hands-on experience with engineering teams and third-party API integrations (REST/JSON)

  • Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and edge cases

  • Ability to analyze APIs, understand system interactions, and visualize data flows

  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, diagramming tools, and basic SQL

  • Understanding of SDLC and Agile development

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, independently clarify requirements, and work across technical and business challenges

  • English at Upper-Intermediate or higher

  • Motivation to grow into a Product Manager role

The Points That Make You Stand Out

  • Experience in fintech, payments, billing, SaaS, or other complex product domains

  • Familiarity with tax compliance concepts such as VAT, sales tax, nexus, or filing

  • Exposure to product management and product discovery
