Every day offers the chance to make a meaningful contribution to a more sustainable future, driving innovations that help lower global carbon footprints. Together, we’re creating a legacy that goes beyond business—one that’s changing the world for the better.

This role will establish and grow Armstrong Fluid Technology’s fire protection business across Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH). The successful candidate will create new business opportunities, develop strategic contractor and integrator relationships, secure approved-supplier positions and convert specification-led projects into sustainable orders. Germany will be the initial priority, with selective development of Austria and Switzerland. The role combines hands-on business development with technical, commercial and territory leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Territory Growth and New Business

  • Develop and deliver a practical sales plan to grow Armstrong Fire across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with Germany as the initial focus.
  • Build relationships with sprinkler contractors, fire protection installers, integrators and channel partners to generate new business and achieve agreed sales targets.
  • Identify and progress opportunities in data centres, industrial facilities, manufacturing, logistics and other suitable fire protection projects.

Customer Relationships and Market Development

  • Develop long-term relationships with key customers, consultants and project stakeholders, helping position Armstrong as a trusted supplier.
  • Grow market awareness, support supplier approval opportunities and identify potential local partners.

Technical and Commercial Support

  • Understand customer requirements and relevant fire protection standards, working with Armstrong technical teams to offer suitable solutions.
  • Coordinate enquiries, quotations and project handovers while sharing customer and competitor feedback.

Customer Support

  • Provide a responsive commercial point of contact and work with internal teams and local partners to support customer satisfaction and service opportunities.

Planning and Teamwork

  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and CRM records, provide realistic forecasts and work closely with the wider UK and Continental Europe Fire team.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

Experience and Skills

  • Proven technical sales or business development experience in fire protection, sprinkler systems, fire pumps or a closely related sector, with a track record of winning new business.
  • Existing relationships with sprinkler contractors, installers or system integrators in Germany, and the confidence to develop new customer partnerships across DACH.
  • Good technical and commercial understanding of fire protection projects, with the ability to work alongside engineering teams and customers.
  • Fluent German and strong working English, with confident communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable managing a sales pipeline, forecasting opportunities and using CRM tools.

Additional Advantages

  • Familiarity with VdS, EN 12845, FM or LPCB requirements and fire pump applications.
  • Experience in data centres, industrial facilities, logistics or manufacturing, or existing contacts in Austria and Switzerland.

Soft skills and other requirements:

  • Proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic about building a developing territory, while working collaboratively with the wider Armstrong team.
  • Based in Germany preferred, with willingness to travel regularly across DACH.
