Job Title: Remote Senior Go Backend Engineer (Real‑Time Sensor Ingestion)- (100% Work From Home) 

  Location: Remote from Latin America   Position Type: Full-time    Salary:$4,000 USD/month + performance-based yearly bonus paid via direct deposit    Schedule: Monday to Friday, business hours Central Time (between 40-50 hours a week)
 

We’re hiring a Senior Go Engineer to build real‑time data ingestion pipelines, migrate Python Lambdas to Go, and work on distributed systems that connect hardware sensors to cloud infrastructure. If you love Go, real‑time data, and solving production‑level challenges, this role is for you.

About the Role

You’ll own Go microservices that ingest and process high‑velocity sensor data using WebSockets and distributed processing patterns. You’ll migrate Python Lambda functions into Go, maintain legacy services during the transition, and deploy everything on AWS EKS + serverless infrastructure.

This is a hands‑on backend role in a senior engineering environment where autonomy, clarity, and ownership matter. You’ll work directly with hardware integrations, real‑time pipelines, and production systems that must stay reliable under load.

Responsibilities

• Build & maintain Go microservices for real‑time sensor ingestion (WebSockets, data fusion)

• Migrate Python Lambda functions to Go

• Maintain legacy Python services during transition

• Deploy services on AWS EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3

• Integrate with hardware sensors & third‑party APIs

• Debug distributed systems in production

• Write tests & maintain CI/CD (GitHub Actions)

Required Skills

• Go: concurrency, WebSockets, production microservices

• Python: ability to read, debug, migrate Lambda functions

• AWS: Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch

• Databases: PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch

• Infra: Docker, Kubernetes, Serverless Framework, CI/CD
