Job description

About the Role

Retail is where COROS meets athletes in person, and across Europe it is the channel with the most room to grow and the one we are investing in now. The Retail Marketing Manager Europe turns that potential into presence, owning the marketing layer on top of our distributor and retail partner relationships across the continent. That covers digital and physical campaigns and activations, point-of-sale displays, shop windows, in-store presence and retail marketing materials, designed, sourced, produced and brought to life in five direct markets plus our distributor-led territories.

The role is also the internal interface for European leadership and sales: Country Managers and Sales Managers bring their market needs here, and this role turns them into briefs, materials and campaigns, working directly with our headquarters teams and with our US counterparts as peers. The operating principle is to build centrally and roll out locally. This role designs the European solution (concept, materials and a ready-to-use execution toolkit), and the country teams, led by the Sales Managers, run the local rollout with this role as central support. The role reports directly to the Head of Europe.

Your playground

  • Develop and execute marketing activations and campaigns with retailers and partners across Europe, in both digital and physical channels.

  • Own the marketing layer of our partner relationships: in-store presence, shop window concepts, point-of-sale displays, retail campaign mechanics and co-marketing execution.

  • Act as the single point of contact for Country Managers and Sales Managers on retail marketing needs: translate market requirements into briefs and ready-to-use toolkits, hand them to the country teams for local rollout, and keep visibility of the pipeline across all markets.

  • Brief and manage POS and display design, source and commission suppliers, manage production timelines, and coordinate distribution and stock of retail materials across European markets.

  • Localise and adapt global assets where they exist, and develop European solutions where they don't.

  • Project manage the European rollout of product launches, working between the European sales organisation and the global brand team so retail and partner execution is ready on time.

  • Design the shop staff engagement programme (product knowledge, training formats and incentive thinking) and hand it to the market teams to run with their retail partners.

  • Develop community-facing activation formats, such as community runs, where they serve retail and partner objectives.

  • Prepare and facilitate the recurring European retail review with the Head of Europe and the Country Managers, where the pipeline is prioritised across markets.

  • Work with the retail and events function in the US as a peer, and engage directly with the headquarters teams in China on asset and material requirements.

  • Track performance across retail presence and activation effectiveness, and use the data to decide where effort and spend go next.

  • Make independent spending decisions within approved projects, and bring opportunities forward proactively rather than waiting for direction.

What you bring to the starting line

Professional Background

  • Experience: 5 years+ in retail marketing, trade marketing or brand activation, ideally in sports, outdoor, consumer electronics or a comparable branded goods environment.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • Retail Execution: Proven track record of bringing a brand to life at the point of sale (POS concepts, in-store presence, retail campaigns) with measurable results.

  • Production and Sourcing: Hands-on experience briefing design, commissioning suppliers, managing production timelines and getting physical material where it needs to be, on time and on budget.

  • Multi-Market Work: Experience working across several time zones, cultures and markets with differing needs, and comfort as the connecting point between commercial stakeholders with varying priorities.

  • Launch Management: Experience running the marketing side of product launches across channels and markets.

Other Key Requirements

  • Collaboration and Organization: Strong project management, excellent communication, and the ability to keep many parallel workstreams moving without losing the detail.

  • Mindset: Self-motivated and resourceful. You propose rather than wait.

  • Language: Fluency in English, spoken and written. An additional European language is a plus.

  • Mobility: Willingness to travel regularly across Europe.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends around activations and events, with time off in lieu.

How the role will grow

COROS Europe is growing fast, and this role is built to grow with it. As individual markets develop enough retail volume to justify their own dedicated retail resource, the scope of this role is likely to shift: less breadth across markets, more depth in the ones that remain. How that plays out will depend on how the business develops and on the strengths the person in this role brings. This is a function being built rather than inherited, and the person building it will shape what it becomes.

The Setup

  • Reporting Line: Head of Europe.

  • Scope: Five direct European markets plus distributor-led territories.

  • Location: Remote, anywhere in the EU or the UK, ideally close to a major airport. Wherever you're based, we'll set you up with a local employment contract.

  • Working Mode: Fully remote or hybrid if you live close to an office location, with occasional team get-togethers.

  • Job Type: Full-time.

Package & Benefits

  • Work in a motivated, international team.

  • Build a function from the ground up in the channel with the most room to grow.

  • Space for ideas and independent work.

  • Flat hierarchy with short decision-making processes.

  • 25 days of paid vacation plus standard local holidays.

  • COROS products and discounts for family & friends.

  • Compensation: The base salary range for this position starts at €55.000,- annually with the possibility to earn a performance-based bonus on top. This is the least we can do for you. The final offer depends on your experience, background, and location.
