Account Manager (AI native)

Mission

This is a commercial Account Manager seat with an AI-native edge: Not a pure sales hunter, not a classic Customer Success ticket queue, and not a deep Solutions Engineering build shop.

You own strategic customer relationships end to end: land new logos where it fits, expand into new regions and accounts, run strategic account planning, and own renewals, upsells, and cross-sells. You are credible with C-level and sales leadership, present at customer events, and smart enough to own the projects and automations that unlock expansion without needing to be the strongest engineer in the room.

The people who thrive here are commercially sharp, relationship-first, and comfortable using AI and lightweight automation as leverage for the account.

Goals

• Own the commercial relationship on strategic accounts: discovery, onboarding handoff, expansion, renewals, upsell, and cross-sell
• Build and run strategic account plans across regions, business units, and stakeholder maps
• Work fluently with C-level and senior sales / RevOps leaders in German and English: earn trust, unblock decisions, protect and grow revenue
• Spot expansion paths into new teams, countries, and use cases; turn them into pipeline and closed business
• Own customer projects and automations when they matter for adoption or expansion (CRM workflows, AI agents, lightweight integrations): escalate deep engineering, don't disappear into it
• Show up at customer events, QBRs, workshops, and field moments where presence wins the room
• Feed field signal back to product, GTM, and leadership so what customers need shapes what we build next

Your profile

We hire for a specific profile. If this sounds like you, keep reading. If you mainly want deep product engineering or pure outbound hunting with no account ownership, this is not the role.

• Commercially sharp. You know how to land and expand: renewals, upsells, cross-sells, multi-threaded accounts. Revenue ownership energizes you.
• C-level credible. You run conversations with senior leaders without losing the plot or the relationship.
• Strategic account planner. You think in maps (stakeholders, regions, risks, next plays) not one-off meetings.
• AI-native operator. You are curious and practical about AI and automations; you own useful projects that make the account stickier, without needing to be a pure Solutions Engineer.
• Present and energetic. Customer events, workshops, and in-person moments are part of how you win, not an afterthought.
• German as a working language. Native or near-native German (and fluent English). Most of our strategic customers are in DACH; you run the conversation in German when it matters.

• Prior Account Management, Customer Success (expansion-heavy), or enterprise AE experience in B2B SaaS
• Hands-on CRM ecosystems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive)
• Experience at an early-stage or high-growth B2B SaaS company
• Comfort with automation tools (Make / Zapier / n8n) or AI workflows in a customer context
