Job description

Finance Compliance Analyst

Location: Flexible (remote-friendly across U.S. time zones)

About the Role

Natera is looking for a Finance Compliance Analyst to sit at the intersection of finance, compliance, and sales. You’ll be the checkpoint that makes sure payments tied to healthcare provider (HCP) interactions are accurate, supported, and compliant before the money goes out. This is a fast-paced, high-volume role that moves at the speed of the Sales team, and your work directly protects the company from regulatory risk while keeping operations running smoothly.

You’ll partner closely with the Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Accounting Officer, and Sales leadership. If you like finding the one detail others miss and want to see your work make a real difference, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

Core responsibilities

  • Audit paid speaker programs, including contracts, attendance, invoices, and receipts, to confirm they meet compliance requirements and company policy. This is the largest part of the role, and the process was recently brought in-house.
  • Review trade show and event sponsorships involving healthcare providers, and process payments only after they’ve cleared compliance review.
  • Spot subtle issues in contracts, receipts, and supporting documents that signal improper payments or risk.
  • Conduct vendor screening using Dow Jones.
  • Partner with Sales in real time, communicating clearly and holding firm on requirements when needed.

Additional responsibilities

  • Audit Sales expense reports in Concur for compliance with Stark regulations and company policy, and monitor non-monetary compensation requirements.
  • Review invoices and purchase requisitions for accurate coding and posting.
  • Prepare reconciliations and track liabilities and supporting schedules.
  • Provide schedules and support for annual financial and non-financial audits.
  • Investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries and reports.
  • Take on other projects as needed.

What You Bring

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to review complex documents and catch what’s missing, inconsistent, or off
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage high volume and competing priorities without losing accuracy
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and Concur
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, sales-aligned environment
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating across teams
  • Confidence to communicate and hold your ground when a payment or expense doesn’t meet requirements

Preferred (not required, and we’ll train you)

  • Experience in compliance, audit, AP, or expense review
  • Background in healthcare, life sciences, biotech, diagnostics, or pharma
  • Familiarity with Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, or the Sunshine Act/Open Payments
  • Experience with AI tools to improve efficiency
The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.Remote USA$80,000—$87,000 USD
