Sales Development Representative

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to generate qualified leads and build a strong sales pipeline through targeted outbound prospecting. You’ll engage potential clients, conduct initial discovery conversations, assess their needs, and connect qualified prospects with the sales team.

The ideal candidate communicates confidently, takes ownership of their outreach targets, and continuously improves their approach based on prospect feedback and performance data. You should be comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating with the broader sales team to drive results.

Key Responsibilities

Outbound Prospecting & Lead Generation

• Identify and research potential clients who match the company’s target customer profile.
• Initiate contact through outbound channels, including cold calls, personalized emails, and other relevant platforms.
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified leads.
• Personalize outreach to improve engagement and generate meaningful sales conversations.

Lead Qualification & Discovery

• Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand prospects’ needs, challenges, and business goals.
• Assess prospect fit and readiness to move forward in the sales process.
• Ask relevant questions to determine whether prospects meet qualification criteria.
• Document key findings and next steps to support effective follow-up.

Pipeline & CRM Management

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospect interactions, outreach activities, and pipeline progress.
• Track follow-ups and ensure prospects receive timely communication.
• Use CRM tools and outreach platforms to organize daily activities and monitor lead status.
• Keep records clear and organized so the sales team has visibility into ongoing opportunities.

Sales Team Collaboration

• Work closely with account executives and senior sales team members to hand off qualified opportunities.
• Provide clear notes and context to ensure smooth transitions between sales stages.
• Align outreach messaging and targeting with the broader sales strategy.
• Share feedback from prospect conversations to help improve lead quality and engagement.

Outreach Optimization & Research

• Test and refine email sequences, call scripts, and messaging approaches based on response data.
• Monitor outreach performance and identify opportunities to improve conversion rates.
• Research new prospect segments and gather insights to support lead generation.
• Adapt outreach strategies based on prospect behavior, feedback, and team guidance.

Required Experience & Skills

• Demonstrated experience in sales development, business development, lead generation, or a similar outbound-facing role.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience with outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and prospect follow-ups.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and sales outreach platforms.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage daily outreach activities independently while balancing volume and quality.
• Comfortable handling rejection and adjusting approaches based on feedback.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and collaborate with a distributed sales team.

Typical Day

You’ll begin by reviewing your pipeline and prioritizing high-potential prospects. Throughout the day, you’ll conduct outbound outreach through calls and personalized emails, qualify leads, and move promising conversations forward. You’ll coordinate with the sales team to hand off qualified opportunities, update CRM records, and review outreach performance. You’ll also refine messaging and research new prospect segments to strengthen future outreach efforts.
