Job description

Product Manager - Enduser

Bitwarden empowers enterprises, developers, and individuals to securely store and share sensitive data. With a transparent, open-source approach to password management, secrets management, and passwordless and passkey innovations, Bitwarden makes it easy for users to extend robust security practices across all online activities. Founded in 2016 with headquarters in Santa Barbara, California, Bitwarden is supported by a passionate global community of security experts and enthusiasts.

As Product Manager, End-User Adoption at Bitwarden, you will contribute to the strategy and execution for how individuals and employees get started with Bitwarden and make it part of their daily routine across the browser extension, web, and desktop apps. You will be meticulous about the first-run and onboarding experience, autofill reliability, and the everyday vault workflows, such as searching, organizing, and filling, that determine whether someone keeps using the product. You will become an expert on Bitwarden persons, supporting both expert and novice users. You will partner with other PMs, Design, Engineering, QA, and GTM to build features that are simple, trustworthy, and work the way people expect, whether they are an individual or an employee rolling out a company-wide deployment. You will partner with Marketing, Support, and Customer Success on how product improvements turn into activation, retention, and fewer support requests. You will use qualitative customer feedback, usage analytics, and competitive benchmarking to inform roadmap decisions, thinking deeply about both the first-time user and the experienced power user.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive improvements to autofill reliability and compatibility across websites, apps, and platforms, including how Bitwarden handles sites that are hard to fill
  • Define how users organize and find their data at scale, balancing simplicity for new users with power for people managing thousands of items
  • Model the relationship between early product experience and activation, retention, upgrade rates, and enterprise rollout success
  • Define and monitor adoption metrics, such as time to first fill, import completion, weekly active use, and feature engagement by platform and customer segment
  • Turn customer feedback from support tickets, community forums, and research into clear, prioritized product decisions
  • Support Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success on how the everyday experience drives employee adoption in enterprise deployments
  • Share performance metrics, roadmap updates, and wins with leadership and cross-functional partners
  • Use AI tools to accelerate spec writing, competitive analysis, data modeling, and rapid prototyping
