About Our Family

We are a welcoming and loving family navigating a joyful and bustling new chapter with our three month old daughter and our beloved, sweet-tempered senior Pomeranian. Our home is part of an exceptional, tight-knit neighborhood where dear friends and neighbors feel like extended family, creating a vibrant village of support, shared moments, and genuine connection. Harmony and teamwork are essential to us: our Household Manager will actively collaborate with our neighbor’s household manager to streamline shared events and logistics.

Daily life under our roof is active yet intentional: During the week Dad runs his workdays from a dedicated home office, Mom is deeply engaged in completing her coursework, and our wonderful postpartum doula is on-site Monday through Thursday focusing exclusively on nurturing our baby girl.

Above all, our goal is to reclaim precious time and establish an environment of calm, order, and effortless comfort. We cherish family-centered weekends together and we deeply value thoughtful, self-directed organized systems during the week that hum quietly behind the scenes. We want our home to feel like a true sanctuary - peaceful, welcoming, and seamlessly orchestrated so daily life flows with ease and warmth.

Who You Are / What We’re Looking For

You are an experienced, proactive, and detail-oriented Family Assistant or Household Manager who takes pride in self directed tasks and has a talent for organization. Calm, approachable, and highly organized, you bring a professional-first approach with a high standard of quality that focuses on household order and the privacy of work-from-home and study environments. You naturally anticipate needs before being asked, build intuitive systems, keep daily laundry rotations moving seamlessly, and execute daily resets without requiring step-by-step guidance or constant feedback.

A genuine passion for food and nourishing a household comes naturally to you; you enjoy thoughtful weekly meal planning, grocery procurement, and preparing wholesome, delicious family meals that bring everyone together with ease.

You excel at end-of-day communication, keeping parents in the loop via quick text summaries rather than lengthy interruptions. Dependable, punctual, and adaptable, you bring a confidence in your tasks that removes mental load from a growing young family.

Key Responsibilities

Meal Prep & Grocery Management

  • Prepare 4 dinners and 4 lunches per week by executing healthy batch cooking while strictly adhering to a wheat-free diet.
  • Independently build weekly grocery lists, source recipes, and handle grocery shopping (in-store or coordinating online delivery).
  • Keep the kitchen, refrigerator, and pantries clean, organized, and restocked with core household staples.
  • Handle kitchen cleanup and space resets after food preparation.

Laundry & Linens

  • Manage end-to-end household laundry operations: washing, folding, ironing, steaming, and organizing clothes into designated spaces.
  • Execute weekly bedding changes and routine bath towel replenishment.
  • Maintain a tidy, well-stocked laundry area.

Household Organization & Daily Resets

  • Build, implement, and maintain household organization systems (pantries, closets, baby gear).
  • Maintain the home through daily resets and tidying (loading/unloading dishes, clearing high-traffic counters and surfaces).
  • Lead decluttering initiatives independently, organizing items for donation or discard with parent sign-off.
  • Coordinate occasional deep-cleaning routines and special projects (refrigerator, oven, washing machine, couch cushions, baseboards, air purifiers).
  • Refresh and reorganize the garage, mudroom, and entry areas (including staging and organizing items from recent relocation shipments).
  • Coordinate seasonal swaps (wardrobes, nursery items, holiday décor) and manage physical donation drop-offs.
  • Develop organizational luggage and travel prep systems.

Family Support

  • Provide occasional backup childcare or date-night babysitting with advanced agreement.
  • Coordinate with Dad’s Personal Assistant on overlapping errands, travel prep, or vehicle maintenance when needed.
  • Assist with guest and holiday event prep (e.g., preparing bathrooms, staging guest areas, and stocking supplies for large family gatherings).
  • Deliver a concise end-of-day text update detailing completed priorities and upcoming household needs.

Pet Care Support

  • Assist as needed in the daily care routine for our Pomeranian (potty breaks, feeding, and administering oral medications).
  • Provide short relief walks and schedule grooming appointments as needed.
  • Maintain pet supply inventory and collaborate with our external pet sitter when extended care needs to be scheduled.
