Job description

: EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) delivers a fully optimized research experience, seamlessly integrated with a powerful discovery platform to support the information needs and maximize the research experience of our end-users. Headquartered in Ipswich, MA, EBSCO employs more than 2,700 people worldwide, with most embracing hybrid or remote work models. As an AI-enabled service leader, we thrive on innovation, forward-thinking strategies, and the dedication of our exceptional team. At EBSCO, we’re driven to inspire, empower and support research. Our mission is to transform lives by providing reliable and relevant information — when, where and how people need it. We’re seeking dynamic, creative individuals whose diverse perspectives will help us achieve this global, inclusive mission. Join us to help make an impact. Your Opportunity:

The Digital Accessibility Specialist will partner with a cross-functional team to ensure EBSCOhost and related products meet and exceed digital accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508, EN 301 549). You will help identify, test, and remediate accessibility issues across our web-based platforms, working closely with engineering and design teams to build accessibility into products from the ground up. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accessibility career to grow their technical skills while making a meaningful impact.

What You'll Do:
  • Communicate and collaborate with customers
  • Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing (screen readers, keyboard navigation, color contrast, etc.) against WCAG 2.2 AA, EN 301 549 and Section 508 standards
  • Document accessibility defects clearly and collaborate with cross functional teams to identify remediation approaches
  • Support accessibility audits of new and existing features throughout the development lifecycle
  • Help maintain and update accessibility documentation, including ACRs (VPATs), Roadmaps, Statements, etc.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to advocate for accessible design and development practices
  • Stay current on evolving accessibility standards, assistive technologies, and industry best practices

Your Team

This role reports to the Principal Product Manager of Accessibility and Globalization and works closely with Engineering, Product Management, Design, and Quality Assurance teams across the EBSCOhost suite. You'll join a team dedicated to embedding accessibility and inclusive design principles across EBSCO's products, ensuring equitable access to research and information for all users.

About You:
  • 0-2 years of accessibility experience (internships, coursework, certifications, or hands-on projects welcome)
  • Familiarity with WCAG guidelines and assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers like JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver)
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript as they relate to accessible web development
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders

What Sets You Apart

  • A collaborative mindset and ability to build credibility with team members and stakeholders
  • Genuine passion for inclusive design and improving digital experiences for people with disabilities
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and evolving accessibility standards
Pay Range: USD $62,925.00 - USD $89,890.00 /Yr.
