About the Role

We are seeking a contractor at the Associate level to support the Financial Reporting & Audits group with local statutory audits, financial statement preparation and accounting memos. You will report to a Manager in the group, who will coach you and direct your day-to-day work, and you will be accountable to both the Manager and the Director of Financial Reporting. This position sits at the intersection of accounting, business process and technology.

The ideal candidate will have Big Four audit experience and NetSuite experience; both are preferred but not required. The role requires a solid understanding of the requests from the external auditors, including the ability to assess whether those requests are reasonable, and the ability to communicate with third parties professionally and with confidence.

It is critical that you are a self-starter who is motivated to learn about the business. You will build rapport with internal teams, prepare and deliver supporting files to fulfil external audit requests, and communicate requirements and deadlines at the right level of detail.

As you work on the audits, you will build an understanding of our critical accounting processes and controls end to end, create succinct documentation and reporting, and help company leaders manage risk more effectively. A smaller focus of the role is supporting control assessments and walkthroughs, including some IT-focused initiatives. SOX experience is helpful but not a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit & External Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors, coordinating requests, providing schedules and memos, and partnering with FP&A on key forecast inquiries.

  • Audit Tracking & Escalation: Maintain audit trackers, establish deadlines across internal cross-functional teams, and proactively escalate at-risk deliverables to leadership to ensure timely execution.

  • Financial Reporting & Memos: Assist in preparing local statutory financial statements and disclosures while rolling forward technical accounting memos and schedules.

  • Internal Controls & Process Optimization: Participate in control assessments, walkthroughs, and IT initiatives while continuously identifying opportunities to streamline reporting processes.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience: 2–3 years of accounting, finance, reporting, or audit experience.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Preferred: Big Four audit experience and hands-on familiarity with NetSuite.

What you will bring:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication is essential for conveying complex financial information clearly to auditors and internal stakeholders.

  • Interpersonal skills help in effectively managing relationships with client personnel to gather information and resolve issues.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills are important for coordinating multiple assignments and adhering to tight deadlines.

  • Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all information provided to the auditors.

What you will have:

  • Takes ownership for responsibilities with a positive attitude.

  • Thrives on collaboration and operates with a strong internal stakeholder mentality.

  • Expert multitasker, self-prioritizer, and project manager.

  • Strong ability to quickly identify both risks and opportunities while maintaining a strong focus on both process improvements and results.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with people working in multiple time zones.
