Senior QA Tester - Des Moines, IA (Remote)

Duration: 8 months

Seeking for a Senior QA Tester to enhance applications for Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) grants. This role focuses on manual testing with some automation, ensuring solutions meet quality standards. Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Functional, Regression, UAT, Usability, and Accessibility Testing.
  • Develop and maintain manual test cases, scripts, and plans.
  • Utilize tools for automated testing where practical.
  • Review documentation for comprehensive test coverage.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts for requirements clarification.
  • Perform API testing and database validation.
  • Execute SQL queries for functionality and data validation.
  • Document testing results and support defect triage activities.
  • Work with development teams for successful production migrations.
  • Assist in maintaining user and system documentation.
  • Participate in business process improvement activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of Quality Assurance and Software Testing experience.
  • Strong manual testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Certified in accessibility (e.g., CPACC, WAS) with deep understanding of WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
  • Experience with automated test scripts.
  • Proficient in SQL queries and API testing.
  • Experience developing test plans and documentation.
  • Ability to analyze requirements for testing strategies.
  • Experience managing defects through the software lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 Accessibility Standards.
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in Agile or similar environments.
