About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Salesforce Health Cloud Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our consulting team on a 12-month engagement for a premier US healthcare client. In this critical liaison role, you will bridge the gap between clinical/business stakeholders and technical development teams. You will lead requirement gathering, analyze healthcare workflows, map complex clinical data structures, and translate business needs into comprehensive functional specifications for Salesforce Health Cloud implementations.

  • Workflow Analysis: Analyze complex healthcare operational workflows, patient management processes, and care coordination models.
  • Documentation & Gap Analysis: Document current-state processes, perform gap analyses, and define future-state business requirements.

Functional Design and Agile Management

  • User Stories & Specs: Translate business and clinical requirements into clear, precise user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specification documents in Jira.
  • Visual Artifacts: Design process flows, data mapping diagrams, wireframes, and use cases to communicate functional concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Agile Alignment: Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, developers, and QA teams during sprint planning, backlog refinement, and backlog grooming sessions.

Salesforce Health Cloud Data Modeling

  • Health Cloud Schema Expertise: Leverage a deep working knowledge of the Salesforce Health Cloud data model (including Patient/Member profiles, Care Plans, Clinical data models, and Household structures) to design scalable solutions.
  • Compliance & Alignment: Partner with technical builders to ensure declarative and programmatic configurations align seamlessly with healthcare data governance and compliance guidelines (HIPAA/PHI).

Testing and Coordination

  • UAT Coordination: Develop detailed test plans, functional test cases, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) scenarios.
  • Defect Management & Validation: Coordinate and facilitate UAT execution with end-users, document defects, validate fixes, and ensure solutions meet original business intent.
  • Training & Adoption: Create comprehensive end-user training materials, process guides, and documentation to support user adoption.

Qualifications

  • Location & Authorization: Must be based in the United States or Canada with full legal work authorization without requiring present or future sponsorship.
  • Experience Level: 5 to 10 years of professional experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Functional Consultant within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Health Cloud Expertise: Proven hands-on project experience with Salesforce Health Cloud, including patient management, care coordination, and understanding specialized healthcare data architectures.
  • BSA Core Competencies: Exceptional skills in requirement gathering, process mapping, and writing robust user stories/functional specifications; extensive experience managing Agile/Scrum project lifecycles, sprint planning, and backlog management in Jira/Confluence; strong facilitation skills with the ability to translate clinical needs into technical configurations.
  • Healthcare Domain Knowledge: Direct working background or deep familiarity with US healthcare systems, payer/provider workflows, and HIPAA compliance / PHI data handling.
