Job description

About Impact Disability Law

Impact Disability Law is a boutique law firm that advocates for individuals seeking Social Security Disability benefits. Founded by Jennifer Morgan, an attorney whose career began in education law and advocacy, our firm is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality representation to clients navigating the complexities of the Social Security Administration.

Jennifer’s background—starting with a deep-rooted commitment to serving students and teachers in the education system—led her to disability law, where she found another avenue to make a meaningful impact. At Impact Disability Law, we approach every case with a personalized, client-focused mindset, ensuring that individuals facing significant life challenges receive the legal support they need.

Now, we’re looking for another mission-driven attorney to join our team and carry forward this vision of advocacy, expertise, and impact.

The Role

As a Social Security Disability Attorney, you will play a critical role in representing claimants through all stages of the disability benefits process. This position is ideal for an attorney with a passion for client advocacy, strong litigation skills, and a commitment to serving individuals facing life-altering disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with medical professionals and expert witnesses to strengthen case arguments.
  • Provide compassionate, client-centered representation, guiding clients through a complex and often overwhelming legal process.
  • Stay current on Social Security disability law and regulatory changes to ensure the highest quality representation.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed attorney in good standing with the Colorado Bar (or eligible for reciprocity).
  • 5+ years of experience in Social Security disability law (preferred) or related fields such as administrative law, public benefits law, or litigation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients in a clear and empathetic manner.
  • Strong legal writing skills for drafting appeals, briefs, and other case documents.
  • A deep commitment to advocacy for individuals with disabilities.
