Looking for Philippines-based candidates

Job Role: Senior Credit Analyst

Compensation range: PHP 110,000 AUD - PHP 140,000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote, so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: We operate within the financial services and wealth advisory space, helping individuals, families, and business owners build long-term financial confidence through strategic planning and tailored guidance. Our approach focuses on simplifying complex financial decisions and creating practical pathways toward greater financial security and lifestyle flexibility.

We work closely with clients across a broad range of areas, including financial planning, lending support, wealth creation strategies, business advisory, and retirement preparation. By taking a holistic approach, we aim to provide solutions that align with both short-term priorities and long-term goals.

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Analyst to provide advanced credit analysis and loan structuring support to our Mortgage Broking and Advisory teams. This role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality lending outcomes, particularly for complex and non-standard lending scenarios.

The ideal candidate brings a strong Australian mortgage background, deep policy knowledge, and the ability to independently manage complex credit assessments from structuring through to submission readiness. You will act as a trusted technical partner to Brokers and Advisers, contributing to both client outcomes and process excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Senior Credit Analysis and Loan Structuring

  • Lead end-to-end credit assessments across a diverse client portfolio
  • Complete complex servicing calculations for PAYG, Self-Employed, and mixed income clients
  • Independently structure loans aligned with client strategy, tax considerations, and lender policy
  • Assess and support complex lending scenarios, including:
    • Trust structures (Discretionary, Unit, Corporate Trustee)
    • SMSF lending (LRBA structures)
    • Multiple entities, guarantors, and securities
    • Investment, portfolio, and debt recycling strategies
  • Use Mercury to assess servicing and policy suitability
  • Conduct in-depth lender policy comparisons and recommend optimal credit solutions

Loan Application Oversight

  • Prepare and review lender-ready submissions for accuracy, compliance, and strategy
  • Provide guidance to Brokers on lender selection and structuring considerations
  • Proactively identify and address credit risks prior to submission
  • Manage complex conditions, credit escalations, and lender queries
  • Ensure all applications meet NCCP, compliance, and internal quality standards

Documentation, Reporting, and Systems

  • Maintain high-quality credit notes, servicing worksheets, and file documentation
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping across CRM, Asana, and internal systems
  • Review task statuses, timelines, and handovers for credit-related workflows
  • Prepare lending summaries and technical credit reports where required

Process Leadership and Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of credit assessment frameworks
  • Assist in building and maintaining credit-related SOPs and templates
  • Identify and implement efficiency improvements within credit workflows
  • Provide technical guidance and informal mentoring to junior credit team members

Cross-Team Collaboration and Support

  • Work closely with Mortgage Brokers, Advisers, and Client Onboarding teams
  • Support complex client scenarios requiring multi-disciplinary input
  • Ensure all loan files are audit-ready and compliant
  • Contribute to projects aimed at improving client experience and lending efficiency

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High-level analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Clear, confident, and professional communication
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a remote environment
  • Client-first mindset with a strong compliance focus
  • Proactive leadership mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Experience supporting or mentoring junior credit staff is advantageous
