Position Overview
We are seeking a SAP DevOps Engineer (SAP BTP) to support the Procurement Next Generation initiative, focusing on SAP platform operations, cloud environments, customer onboarding, provisioning, automation, and technical incident resolution.
The professional will work closely with engineering teams to manage SAP landscapes, improve operational efficiency, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and resolve complex technical challenges within a cloud-based SAP ecosystem.
Unlike traditional software development positions, this role emphasizes DevOps, Platform Engineering, environment management, deployment automation, troubleshooting, and production support.
The position involves collaboration with globally distributed teams across Brazil, India, and the United States.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and provision SAP landscapes and tenants.
• Support customer onboarding activities, including environment configuration and setup.
• Troubleshoot and resolve provisioning, configuration, and environment-related issues.
• Investigate, debug, and resolve technical incidents, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
• Support engineering teams by identifying and removing operational bottlenecks.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Support deployment automation and release management processes.
• Support platform operations across the SAP Procurement ecosystem.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams across Brazil, India, and the United States.
Required Skills & Experience
• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
• Experience working in cloud-based SAP environments.
• Knowledge of provisioning, tenant setup, and SAP landscape management.
• Hands-on experience with Git.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with deployment automation and source code management.
• Previous background in software development, with an interest in DevOps and Platform Engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and debugging experience.
• Experience supporting production environments and resolving technical incidents.
• Knowledge of APIs and system integrations.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Availability to support teams operating within US business hours.
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Knowledge or experience with SAP Datasphere (formerly SAP Data Warehouse Cloud).
• Knowledge or experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Familiarity with SAP Procurement solutions.
